I don't think you can call a team that won every single game but one for the past 2+ years inconsistant. They've got a good chance , they're going into this tournaments as the favourites (they have an easier draw than Brazil) though Germany, England or Brazil in the knockout stages will provide the real litmus test for this team.
Well, it has been more than 16 months since the match took place. Spain claimed a narrow 1:0 victory (When you look at what some people here on the forum write then you get the impression that the score was 6:0 at half time and spain played their green keeper during the second half... Spain was at the top of their game back then, everything came together, one might think it was some kind of compensation for the decades of failure and misfortune, but this happens only once in a lifetime! I think al those (new) spain fans will burst into tears after the World Cup, if it´s not Germany that brings them back to reality it will be Brazil or another quality team, as always at the World Cup.
Germany is one of those National Teams that don't have super stars but always are on the winning side. They can always trouble big teams.
