The FO would be wise to keep new fans away until they get the steaming pile on the field figured out...second chances to make first impressions and all that.
Tip of the Day: If you're a STH, the team should have offered you free tickets to the Frankfurt Eintracht game equal to the number of seats that you have. The game has been selling reasonably well on Stubhub. I have minimal interest in going to the game so the ability to sell 8 tickets has allowed me to generate a decent amount of money.
https://www.philadelphiaunion.com/p...ring-phl17s-jennifer-lewis-hall?autoplay=true I think Florian Jungwirth put it best... "It was nothing to do with men’s soccer; it was youth soccer what we played, to be honest." We're a youth soccer team.
Wait really? Damn, I passed on the opportunity simply because I knew I wasn't going and assumed they wouldn't be worth anything. Also selling two singles probably not connected wouldn't be an easy sell.
How can we compete with this? https://www.inc.com/cameron-albert-deitch/how-atlanta-united-fc-was-built-like-a-startup.html Read it and weep.
The last line of the article says it all: "The moment we start to take our fans for granted is the moment that this is going to disappear."
Let's hope that Sugarman doesn't obtain the Soul Stone any time soon. Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good.

The league is introducing a new mechanism to get young players. Let’s see how well the Union use these new Garber bucks. https://theathletic.com/359370/2018...oney-to-purchase-young-international-players/
These aren't garber bucks though. It's discretionary spending money just like the new TAM. It's also only up to $3M over three years for players that are 21/22 and under. So teams that are investing in their scouting networks will reap the most potential benefits from this.
Just read this and weep: https://www.socceramerica.com/publi...vermes-asks-of-us-soccer-what-is-the-pla.html This is how an organization is built, maintained, and constantly improved every day for consistent success.
While the Platoon starts to get themselves riled up into a frenzy over our current win streak, the Nexus would like to post this reminder: In May of 2017 the Union went 4-1-0. Outscoring their opponents 11-2, with 3 clean sheets. We all know where we still ended up last season. I like winning. But I'm still not sold on our trajectory just yet.
and frankly, they haven't beaten anyone of consequence yet. I'll enjoy it while it lasts, but I'm not ready to "crown their asses" yet
This was posted the website, but they removed it.... thank god for google's cache: Five Reasons to Hate New York May 22, 20189:30AM EDT Meghan Rock PREVIOUS NEXT New York City has a glorified reputation often referred to as the Big Apple or the Melting Pot of the United States. However, this is what they don't tell you about their city. As the team prepares to take on New York Red Bull's this Saturday at 7:00 p.m., here are five reasons to hate New York. 1. Overpriced New York City, the only place where it is acceptable to charge $3,000 for eggs and a bagel and $2,800 to live in a shoebox. 2. Lack of Fresh Air The concrete jungle's streets are lined with the fresh aroma of garbage and the lovely CO2 emission from taxis. 3. Noise The city that never sleeps...more like the city that never shuts up! Sirens go off 24 hours of the day and people honk their horns for no reason. Ah, music to the ears. 4. People New York City should be renamed the Fear City and tourists' should be handed a survival guide on how to deal with the rude, on edge, condescending and self-centered humans who live there. 5. Rats New York City, where it is perfectly acceptable for a rat to climb out of a toilet or drag a full slice of pizza down the subway stairs. In the end, what's the difference between a cat and a city rat?
At this point? I say yes. They play a more attractive style, they play lots of their kids, they actually rotate their squad..............yup, I'll admit it, I'm jealous/envious of them. Plus, outside of being named "New York" Red Bulls...........they're entirely based in New Jersey.......... On the other hand...........their fans are annoying as hell, especially those two brothers who season tickets to BOTH the Red Bulls and the Union............ Yeah.....the Union don't have a rival.............that happens when you suck hairy donkey balls from day one
