On a happier note, Jamie Watson scored the first goal in the RSL Reserves first match against Galaxy Jr. Although they lost 4-2, RSL Reserves looked good from reports I read. The bench guys on LA are pretty much starters from last year or players that only played some of Saturday's game. RSL reserves are mainly just recent college draftees.
Hey everybody screws up once in a while! That to me looked like pure nerves and you can go on about how at that level of play you don't eff things up that bad but you know... Mathis' corners were not a whole lot better than O' Briens... which is probably why Mathis was not taking that corner! Yes it was a terrible corner but relatively speaking it was a lot better than you or I would have done! So I say cut the guy a little slack! Sometimes people try too hard...
Deuce I am all for being a homer for our team, but when players/coach screw up we got a responsibility to call them on it. Of course, Leighton could probably make that corner 99 other times, but that once in that LA game couldn't happen at more frustrating time. And Mathis's corners were 100 times better, lets be serious here.
