World Cup South Africa Moving?

    Sure, we've all heard the rumors. But I've seen nothing solid in the news. Just blogging gossip...

    But the latest from a South African buddy is that some soccer officials in S.Africa were assulted (or worse) and that South Africa is quietly working w/ Germany (!?!?!?) to have them take over the 2010 World Cup.

    I realize this is grossly unsubstantiated, but I'm wondering if anyone has any solid info.
