    Hey everyone,

This is posted in our subforum, but wanted to let you all know about the new AODC scarves we're making for World Cup Qualifying! They're available for preorders now and anyone can purchase them:

The last scarf sold out in literally 36 hours after receiving them, so you don't want to miss your chance to own this one! Scarves are $20 each. We will take cash at an AODC event or you may send payment via PayPal to AODCFunds@gmail.com. In the "Message" field, please note how many scarves you are ordering. For people that would like their scarves shipped, please add an additional $5 per 2 scarves that you want shipped and note the address you want them shipped to.

Scarves will be available for pickup at any of the AODC watch parties for the Scotland, Canada, Antigua & Barbuda and Guatemala matches and beyond. They will also be available for sale and pickup at the night-before party for the Brazil match as well as the gameday pregame party as well. However, act quickly...once they're gone, they're gone!

Make it a USA Brazil match scarf with a Road to 2014 reference on it, one of my favourite scarves of all time was the one AO Road Island did for the Spain game last year, with the Maine reference.

Match scarves are cool, but they are also dated and our members don't really want those. This one can be used for the next two years of qualifying, however.

Hey, I hear you, respect that. I am coming in from Toronto for the game, was wondering, what's the plan for the pre-game, is it going to be a tailgate at the stadium, heard their may be issues with that or something at the pub?

We're still working to finalize it, but in all likelihood it will be a pregame at Laughing Man Tavern, which is our home bar. We will then Metro out to the stadium. Parking will be way too expensive to have an AO lot, with reserved parking spots at $110 each.

GA parking is $25, FWIW. To me, that's a ton in itself.

Most of that $110 goes into this man's pocket, so after the Brazil fee and the cost of playing at FedEx, I assume we'd be lucky to build a field.

He also did a Cheers scarf along with the run of Join or Die scarves. But it says the picture's been removed from Flickr.

I may be biased, but those are simply put, some of the best designs I've ever seen in the world.

At this point I'm not planning on doing a run but I might mock up some design ideas.

Yes, new designs would be great, or just a new run of a few of the prior designs. Love the "cheers" one, and must have missed the Statue of Liberty one as I don't recall that. I think I've got 3 and looking to add another for this cycle......

Magpie - Would you ever consider creating another run of these scarves? This was such a classic design and I am sure there are others out there who would love to purchase it!

I'd be lying if I said I had the time or money to do it at this point (having kids changes everything), but I'd be happy to tweak/revisit the design if someone else wants to do a run of them; I'd also want to make sure they pass muster with counsel for U.S. Soccer's lawyers so I don't get a letter from them again.

If you look back at the US Soccer scarfs thread, Magpie did a whole post on that adventure. Basically US Soccer/Nike own the rights to the logo he used (the US Soccer shield), and if he designed a scarf using that shield again, US Soccer/Nike would charge him.
