    I think the final will be pretty one-sided. It's been a great run for Croatia, but France has been the class of the tourney from their first game.

    Southgate got a lot of props for his decision to go with a fresh, young team, but yesterday we saw the downside of that - his players didn't have the mentality to recover from losing a lead they held for 60+ minutes. From the moment Croatia tied it, England was never the same.

    This also proved that sometimes you can score too early! There was a time in minute 60 where one of the English players played 'waste-time' in the corner of his own end. It was just a momentary lapse, but it was a clear indication of their complete focus - run out the clock. When that strategy failed, they were stunned.

    Yeah that was the wrong strategy to take. If England played more open and treated it like it was still 0-0, they may have been able to press for a second. But once you invite pressure you're asking for it.
