    Thank You Croatia........

At least we will have a game on Sunday. If it was France/England we would have gotten a 0-0 game that would be decided on PK's.

I expect France to bunker for at least the first 15-20 minutes. Go Croatia.

Well I guess I will watch the team who SHOULD be in the final play tomorrow (Not the Chicago Fire)...uhm...Belgium play one last time with this dream lineup in the runner up match against the feeble 3 lions 9:00am kick off. I'm not sure how old this squad will be in 4 years but I think they can do some damage at the Euros in 2 years. There are a few guys who are 29-31 who may be done by the next one but Eden Hazard (27) and Kevin DeBruyne (27) Romelu Lukaku (25) have another shot at it.

With 25 minutes booked in this final , it's very apparent the officials are choosing the winner.

    Wait, Croatia is still alive.
4-2 on a brilliant individual effort by Mandruzic.
    Pure skill and guile.
    Amazing goal!
Goal of the tournament for sure.

He has brilliantly scored for both teams now.

Sad that Croatia lost, but my better half and I stayed and drank heavily with friends for 4 hours, so it really does not matter any more.

Congratulations to France (you cheese eating, Jerry Lewis-loving surrender monkeys).

Bad luck to Croatia. You played better for 65 minutes.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game although the soccer gods weren't with Croatia today. The worst was the free kick resulting in the own goal. It wasn't a foul, so a free kick should never have been given. The penalty was rightly called after the video review. Unfortunate probably unintentional hand ball, but the right call. But there was no denying the quality of goals 3 and 4 for France.

In the end, an entertaining 4-2 Final with lots of skillful play throughout. It was a great way to end a great tournament.
