I wonder how motivated Muller will be in going after Klose's goal record. 10 already is quite good. He could potentially get to 18 with another 2 cups.

Agreed. I'm actually pretty concerned about who our 3rd forward will be. Even Firmino concerns me. He's been decent for Liverpool, but he's never played well for Brazil. Just doesn't seem like a good option off the bench for us.

Unfortunately, I really can't see Tite calling up any new or rarely used players for 3rd forward, or some of the other questionable positions (DM, 4th defender, and goal).

I really hope Ederson ends up starting, though. He's been a monster lately.

Yes!! They are plain, the only thing the has some sort of spark are the ring around the socks!! Didn't we have a ring around the socks in WC'98? And look how that turned out!!:sneaky:

Man truer words were never spoken!! If Jesus was suspended or injured, I would have my heart in my mouth if we had to depend on Firmino as striker to get us to score the goals in a game that matter to get us to victory!!

I would actually feel more comfortable using a false 9 with Neymar, Coutinho, and Willian!!

That double save against United was clutch.

Though I think he'd be a better 3rd option than Cassio

We're 6 months away from the World Cup and I'm going to give my 2 cents on how it will turn up!!

Group A= URU-RUS-EGY-KSA(Uruguay proved a bit too strong for the group and Putin's 'motivational' speech was how Russia made it out as runner up!!)

Group B= SPA-MOR-POR-IRN(Morocco's strong rubber seal defense was too much and Crissy Poo failed to deliver again at the WC!!)

Group C= FRA-DEN-PER-AUS(France was head over heels with dominating this group!! France won all 3 games! And Benzema was forgiven and was brought back into the team!!)

Group D= CRO-ARG-ICE-NGA(Croatia was too strong for this group and Nigeria's collapse was the only reason why Argentina made it out the group)

Group E= BRA-SRB-SWI-CRC(Brazil had 0-0 draws vs SWI and SRB it's only win was a 1-0 win over C.R from a Coutinho free kick!! This group was the dullest group with four 0-0 draws!!)

Group F= GER-SWE-MEX-KOR(Mexico fails to make it out the group and Sweden's watertight defense made it hard for everyone!! And Germany won all 3 games and did not have a '2nd game jam'!)

Group G= ENG-PAN-BEL-TUN(Belgium falls from the hype like Colombia of WC'94 and Panama is the surprise)

Group H= COL-POL-JPN-SEN(This is a hotbox group that anyone can win, but Colombia found a way to win it and Poland was motivated by playing in Russia and wanting to out do the Russians!!)

    2ND RO.

    URU 1-1 MOR(URU WINS 4-3 IN PKS)
    FRA 0-1 ARG
    BRA 1-0 SWE
    ENG 0-0 POL(ENG WINS 4-3 IN PKS)
    SPA 1-0 RUS
    CRO 1-1 DEN(CRO WINS 3-2 IN PKS)
    GER 1-0 SRB
    COL 0-0 PAN(PAN WINS 4-3 IN PKS)

    QF'S

    URU 0-0 ARG(ARG WINS 3-2 IN PKS)
    BRA 0-0 ENG(BRA WINS 4-2 IN PKS)
    SPA 0-0 CRO(SPA WINS 3-1 IN PKS)
    GER 1-0 PAN

    SF'S

    ARG 1-0 BRA
    GER 1-0 SPA

    3RD PLACE

    BRA 1-1 SPA(BRA WINS 3-2 IN PKS)

    FINAL

    ARG 0-1 GER

Though this was one of the lowest scoring WC's and the DULLEST WC of ALL TIME even out dulling WC's 90 and '06:sleep::cry:....GERMANY GOES BACK TO BACK AND WINS IT'S 5TH WORLD CUP!!!!

Marcelo's form worries me. Often jogging back on defense.

I would be more concern if this was his form towards the end of the season. Same reason I’m not concerned with Jesus either. Around April and May I would be worried.

Based on what I've witnessed, I'd have to go Germany, they look strong in depth and play superb football. The coach/management set up is also arguably the best in national football, having already achieved so much in previous tournaments.

any chance Firmino gets a call-up for the tournament? He's been amazing for Liverpool in recent months

Can neymar participate in the wc ? Even if he does , will he be in prime form ? The injury has come in a very inappropriate time .......

Because coming back from injury and gaining momentum straightaway is extremely difficult...
