Yes. Mexico always brings it in the group stages. Having said that they've always seemed powerless against Germany. But this Germany is not like the old Germany. More technical but less strength.

what a tremendously entertaining game. Granted I was watching it semi-awake, but it seems as though Germany is allowing a ton of space for Mexico in the counter attacks. Their flat 3 line in the back doesn't seem effective with only one MF backtracking.

Lol!! Germany is playing rope-a-dope with Mexico now!! Mexico will use up all their energy and in the last 15 or 10 minutes Germany will deliver a left hook, right cross and uppercut and they will be saying....Down goes Mexico, Down goes Mexico!!

Now Kherida out for Reus. They'll be even more vulnerable on counter attacks.

Mexican manager is asking to blow this game. He subbed Vela and Lozano, their two best players.

Mexico's first half was great, if only Chicharito could shoot. But at least he got that pass off.

But they're playing with fire in the second half, even if Germany still look poor.

too early IMO, should've subbed them in the last 10 minutes.

At this rate, the payback for the 7-1 doesn't seem so out of the realm of possibility. Mexico could've been leading 4-0 with some competence upfront. what a mess.

F**king Emile Heskey would have buried some of those chances Layun is missing. The guy needs some serious shot practice!

Those were terrible changes by the Mexican manager, they have Corona and Gio who are quick and can shoot unlike the frontline they have on there now.

Im fine that we get Germany next round even though of course they should improve with the remaining games.

There’s a great chance now that we play them in the R16 if we go first. It is rare to see a world cup group winner with only 6 points, and I cant imagine Germany not escaping this group.

I don't feel like it's that rare at all (winning with 6 or fewer points). And right now I might even bet on it in this group. Mexico sure as hell know how to play down to the opposition and dissapoint and Germany are still favorites to win the next two.

Having said that... If Germany do get knocked out, that would be 3 WCs in a row with the champion out in the group stage.
