How about the stadiums, are they all ready now?

www.stadiumzone.weebly.com has pictures of most WC stadiums, I really love Corinthians Arena.

Your arguments are lame, making such a big deal and nit picking about bits you find convenient. The stadia ARE ready to play a game of football on, that is a fact, so you and the complaining hordes will have to find something else to wail about.
How on earth does Communism come into this, are you sniffing something or intellectually challenged?
Loyalty to your country and your people and not joining in the lynch mob who want to ridicule us.

Generally the whole discourse in Brazil about the World Cup would fit right in the World Rivalries sub forum lol.

Anyone catch HBO's Real Sport report on the WC? How accurate was their report on "White Elephants"? I thought the stadiums that are being renovated are used by teams that already play on them?

Edit: Also, how the hell does Fifa get away with taking all the proceeds? You're telling me nothing can be done about these clowns?

Not in all of the cities. You have cities like Manaus, Brasilia and Cuiabá who don't have large club teams and also don't play in the top flight. So you have new stadiums that hold 40k+ that probably won't have more than 10k on average.

They don't get all the proceeds. I believe the gross ticket sale revenue goes to the host country.

Totally agree with you. FIFA take money from developing countries like South Africa and Brasil and pretend to `distribute` it to grass roots football all over the world. In reality this means financing village and small town teams in pissy leagues in rich countries like England and Germany etc., minor leagues which are unnecessary and who are propped up by FIFA whilst kids in Africa etc can`t even afford a football.
FIFA also gets all this money tax free - at the very least Brasil should tax these scroungers and use the money to support smaller leagues and teams in Brasil.

Ronaldo is going to support a candidate for President so now he's trying to get in the people's good graces so he can be remembered in a positive light come campaign time.

He mentions that in this article and denies any associations with any politician. Obviously nobody with a brain is buying this. It's pretty obvious.

My take on it is that I honestly believe that he meant well, but his strong point isn't between his ears. PT used him and made him dance. Now someone else (Aecio) got in his ear and is trying to do the same thing. But if he wants to keep playing this dirty game, he deserves being taken advantage of and made to look like a fool.

Maybe he sees the success and support Romario has received and feels the need to put his face behind political campaigns....

he is risking having his head removed from his shoulders just like Ned Stark. He should not try to play the Game of Thrones going on in Brasilia...
