I was called out by one of the moms who has a daughter training with the U15 team out at the Home Depot Center. I also shoot her daughter during the high school year so she gave me the heads up on this scrimmage taking place. The U15 team hung tough but the U16 team proved to be a bit too much for them.

Talents come from all over the place in US it's kinda like Brasil to men soccer. I think US will rule women soccer for many many many years to come......

I have seen the Womens National teams from U15 - U17 & I think its safe to say that the future will look bright. We had a deep talent pool from top to bottom.

No problemo on the sharing thing. I figure since we all cant get out to every event in person, pictures are the next best thing.

What was the final result of the scrimmage?

I fear it may have been worse for the 15's if all the top 16's were there. They had 7 or 8 eight of the top girls that were in camp with the 17's earlier in the month.

I want to say it was 4-1, but a goal got called back for being offsides(U16). I was out there when the U17's scrimmaged and a dad was telling me that just recently they changed the age requirement for the U17's. So if 7 or 8 of the U16's were on the team, does that make it technically another U16 team that is playing 17's?

    Just a question...

Let say O'Reilly gets injured, but Kerry Hank is there on the line and if she is unavailable, Lauren Cheney/Rodriguez is ready for a replacement. Ally Wagner/Boxx can't play, no problem, Woznuk, Osborne and many more ready to play.

They classify them strictly by birth years.

    U17's this year are 1989's

    16's - 1990's

    15's - 1991's

So the 17's had the top 90's in their camp earlier this month. One of the 1990's went to Brazil with last years 17's (1988 birthdays):)

    Region II,

Just saw the schedule for the 16's for their games against the German and US 17's in March. Is your daughter going?

No, she is going to Europe with her Region team, already spent half our life savings to send her...got a few sponsers as well. Bummer, she really wanted to attend this event. She has been to 2 Natl events. I hope she can prove that she belongs so she can keep getting called into camp.

Thanks Lovin for the heads-up, she was told at Boca that they are not to get upset if they do not get called into every Natl Event. She is keeping a very positive take on this. :)
