Well, this is really something special! :) Fiorentina's title this year showed that this is the way: men's clubs have to support women's football, as they do in Germany or France, because in this moment women's movement can't thrive alone.

I like Sassuolo's players, coach and property's supportive attitude towards their women's counterparts and I wish the girls a brilliant 2017-2018 season in Serie A!

The Coppa Italia final Fiorentina vs. Brescia will be played on Friday, and it will be the last match of the season...afterwards the NT players will begin the trainings and camps for the Euro 2017.
Meanwhile here the highlights of the 3th crucial match for the futsal italian title, between Ternana and Olympus Roma:

I know that not everyone likes the approaching between soccer and futsal, but I think that's important to recognize the strenght and the success of this sport here, being that one of the reasons for the lacking of improvement of wo.so. in some parts of the country.
From the names of the players it's easy to understand that most of them are from Brazilian/Spanish/Portuguese descend, and you'll see some amazing tecnical skills, hope you'll enjoy the show !;)

And Coppa Italia too went to the Serie A champions:

It was a fairly even match, with Fiorentina better in the first half (and scoring with merit), Brescia pushing hard in the second half for the equalizing, and a bit unlucky too...at the end an enjoyable match, considering that we are at the end of the seaon.
And now jump into the Euro, with the camp starting in a few days and the final roster to be chosen at the beginning of July.
Meanwhile, although the mercato will officially start next month, a few rumors about next season:
the first is a big one, Juventus officially stated that will have a team in next Serie A !
It's not clear how, probably they'll buy and rename the Cuneo Femminile (the only club based in the same region), but the trainer has been already choosen, and it's Rita Guarino, since now coach of the U17WNT and a very good player too in the golden years of the italian wo.so.
I have a mixed feeling about this move, before stating my views I want wait for more news...:cautious:
Some players already confirmed that will leave their current team and, among them Valentina Giacinti and the GK Alessia Gritti from Mozzanica, Di Criscio from Verona, Eusebio, Manieri, Fuselli from Brescia, that probably will see the coach Milena Bertolini too leave the club....more news to come ! ;)

Polish NT and Medyk Konin player 26 y.o Aleksandra Sikora will join Brescia. She is RW/RB by trade. Agile and strong, can strike with both feet and with good pass accuracy, natural leader and teacher - Sikora's experienced and talented player with much to offer in Serie A.

Thanks for this news, Lechus ! I suppose that the signing decision has been made directly by the president/owner Giuseppe Cesari, since the current trainer Bertolini will leave the club and the new coach has yet to be signed...
AFAIK she's the second polish player in the italian wo.so., the other being the midfielder Madison Solow (actually Polish/Canadian double passport) who plays for the newly promoted Fimauto Valpolicella, so the 2 girls should match against each other next season...

Lol, the spelling was perfect, until the final words, instead of "Forza Brescia!" (="Go, Brescia!"), sounded as "Foggia-Brescia!" (Foggia being another Italian town). :D

So now it's official: Juventus will have a team in Serie A next season; and as expected, this move took with it already some controversies...
First of all for the method: Juventus didn't buy the whole Cuneo soccer club, as at first believed, they just bought its sport title, that gave them the right to play in Serie A.
This means that Juventus will build their team from the scratch, the Cuneo team has been disbanded and the players now are without a team, most of them without chances to join Juventus...a sad situation in the whole.
Furthermore Torino wo. so. club, currently in Serie B, released an official statement accusing Juventus for taking away most of their younger team (one of the best in Italy by tradition), just playing on its name, on the visibility, and filling the heads of the girls and their parents with promises, causing the club a big damage in money spent to raise the players, of course without compensation....
Here the statement, from the official page of the club (in italian): https://www.calciofemminileitaliano...ie-b/torino-calcio-femminile-la-corsa-alloro/
Last but not least, there is already a Juventus wo. so., in Serie B as well, not linked with the men's club: what will became to them ? Will they be forced to change name ? Will they fold ?
As you see, this news will be for sure a big help for wo. so. in Italy in the future, but now are taking with them some "collateral damages" that are not giving a good image of this world outside...

In the meanwhile, there are the first important signings in the mercato, although I think that most of the tranfers will happen after the Euro.
So far Brescia has been the faster club, signing 2 top players: the NT forward Valentina Giacinti from Mozzanica and the NT defender Federica Di Criscio from Verona.
The same club had to leave a few players too, so far Chiara Eusebio,Silvia Fuselli and Raffaella Manieri.
More news soon, stay tuned ! :)

Brescia confirms being the most active club now signing the NT defender Laura Fusetti from the just relegated club Como2000.

San Zaccaria next season will become Ravenna Woman , thanks to the partnership with the men's club, currently in Serie C

And there are italian players going abroad: the first is the defender Giorgia Spinelli , with some NT caps, leaving Inter Femminile to play in France with Stad de Reims, (Division 2 but with a pro contract).
The second is the forward Martina Piemonte, already U17NT and U19NT, leaving Verona to play in Spain with Siviglia that, if I rightly understood, last season won the play-off and will play in Superliga.

Very interesting career move for Piemonte instead, I'm curious to see how it will turn out.
,I don't understand Giacinti signing, Brescia already have Sabatino, Girelli and Tarenzi upfront do they really need Valentina? I am not sure.
I didn't know about Spinelli joining Reims thanks for the info but what about Fiorentina? Did they recruited someone yet?

First of all welcome back, Debzy ! We missed you....
The mercato here in these days is in a odd situation for a couple of reasons.
First of all the most "marketable" players are going to play in the upcoming Euro, and I think that their destiny will be mostly decided by their performances during the event...it's not a mistery that some of them are dreaming to play abroad and for the moment their future is in stand-by.
The second reason is the sudden coming in the scene of a power force like Juventus that, although officially didn't signed anybody, for sure approached many top players from Brescia, Fiorentina and Verona too, likely with very good offers....Brescia reacted signing a few interesting young girls, to face the very likely leaving of some of their better players (although so far only the captain Valentina Cernoia officially stated who will leave the club).
Fiorentina, who wanted the same experienced players seeked by Juventus, mostly for the CL competition, find itself someway "blocked", so it's watching abroad...rumors that is very close the signing of Nicole Banecki from Freiburg; previously I read that there had been contacts kept with belgian NT Davina Philtjens and Maud Couteleers and with the french Katidiatou, but I don't know if will be successfull or not.
Meanwhile Lana Clelland, the last season Serie A top scorer, who got offers from virtually all the italian top teams, decided to stay with Tavagnacco, so another top marketable player is no more available.

    Here the last signings:
Valentina Bergamaschi , fresh winner (and top scorer) of the Swiss championship with the now disbanded Neunkirch, to Brescia
Katia Coppola from the relegated Como2000 and Penelope Riboldi from the relegated Chieti, both to the new promoted Fimauto Valpolicella
The slovenian Kaja Erzen to Tavagnacco
Cecilia Re , back from the ETSU Buccaneers in USA to Mozzanica
The U17NT Margherita Giubilato and Giulia Bardin from Padova and Vicenza to Verona.
Last but not least here an article that explains, better than could do I, why the coming into scene of Juventus is causing not only a positive impact on the aknowledgment of the wo.so here, but also some problems and negative reactions for the way this coming into scene has occurred:

Thanks for the info @gricio61 First of all I'like to say I deeply feel the anger of some Italian clubs with Juventus but we need to be realistic, to grow female football needs famous male club in order to attract more fans, sponsor, tv deals, create professionalisation etc.....The cost may be high but it's the only way to grow, same happened in France, England, Spain, Netherlands etc....We don't have other choice unfortunately.
Anyway, all female footballer biggest wish was/is to be a professional so I also understand them wanting to sign more lucrative contracts with Juventus same thing happenend in France with OL being the only pro club for a very long time, at least you already have four....
Talking about transfer I think by katidiatou you mean Kadidiatou Diani ?.....Anyway, Kadi still have one year left in her contract with Juvisy but today CulturePsg, a PSG fan website usually very well informed, say that she signed a three years contract with their club andit will be officialised before the end of the week-end. Whie Maud Coutereels just renew her contract with Lille for another season, however, I like Davina Philtjens I think her style of play fit very well with Italian football.....btw I forgot about Nicole Banecki it's cool to se she still kicking a ball.

Italo-American goalie Arianna Criscione has signed for French D2 club St Malo in a quite surprising move...I didn't saw that coming at all....anyway, glad Arianna is enjoing her time in France after playing for Saint-Etienne.

I just read in the french thread that Diani signed with PSG, so these rumors led to nothing...but Fiorentina need badly to recruit a few players with international experience and, if the domestic mercato is blocked they have to hurry up the scouting abroad if the club doesn't want to be kicked out from the CL after the first match.
    Anyway, the latest news:
Pink Bari signed 2 U19NT players: the forward Maria Serturini from Brescia and the GK Alessia Piazza who last season played for Lugano in the Swiss championship; meanwhile Brescia double with players from Poland and, after Sikora, they signed the NT midfielder Katarzyna Daleszczyk, former teammate in the Medyk Konin
And good to hear that at least one of the players of the now disbanded Cuneo found a new home: the defender and current U23NT Eleonora Piacezzi will play with Mozzanica.

The latest about the Serie A mercato:

Brescia signed the NT Portuguese defender Monica Mendes , currently in Holland for the Euro.
Another player busy with her NT, the Swiss GK Gaelle Thalmann, left Verona to play for Mozzanica, meanwhile the club former GK, Alessia Gritti, will play for the newly promoted Fimauto Valpolicella.
Tavagnacco signed two very interesting young players from the relegated Jesina, the 17 y.o. midfielder Michela Catena (4 goals in Serie A last season) and the 16 yo NT forward Elisa Polli, who scored 8 times in the last championship.

Brescia continues is very interesting reinforcement campagin by signing a player who I like very much, 22 years old midfielder Nora Heroum has officaly joined the Italian club indeed, quality playmaker able to play CM or even N10 position.
Excellent signing but does this means Rosucci will leave? Because Nora plays in the same position than Martina with more or less the same style...

Yes, the rumors are that Rosucci, Bonansea, Salvai, and Gama will join Juventus, meanwhile Cernoia got offers both from Juventus and Fiorentina; the first 3 players were born in or around Torino, so it's understandable that would be thrilled to play for a homeclub, just like has been Fiorentina for Linari.
It's interesting to see that 3 of the 4 foreign signings of Brescia played against that club last CL (Medyk Konin and Fortuna Hjiorring), so I think that the club management has already a clear vision where to put these new players girls on the pitch...

I think that a few Cuneo players will go to Juventus, may be some youngsters, but you are right, they have to sign at least 15 good/very good players to compete with Brescia, Fiorentina and may be Tavagnacco and Mozzanica.
So far no signings at all, with the exception of the coach Rita Guarino, former u17NT coach, I think that the club will wait the coming back of the NT players from Euro for the announcements...

I'd very like that to happen. Cuneo players captivated my attention with their fighting spirit and never say die attitiude shown in quite a few games during the last season. I'd guess that for many of their players it's a kind of Cinderella story - just 2 years ago they played in 2nd league for a small city and now they're on the brink of joining the club which is one of Italy's and Europe football household names.

....and the first NT player announcing her new team, just after coming back to Italy has been Manuela Giugliano (AKA Hotjam's favourite :D), who switched from Verona to Brescia !
A welcome comeback: Marta Mason, after her sabbatical year from soccer and the experience on TV, joined newly promoted Fimauto Valpolicella (soon Chievo Femminile), although she will be ready to play only in the second part of the season.
Bad news for Valentina Cernoia : ACL confirmed, she'll miss most of the season, at this point I don't know if we'll ever find out which club signed her before Euro, we'll see if Fiorentina or Juventus will make an announcement...
Last but not least, as disclosed by Bauser in the Norvay thread, Fiorentina is very close to sign Antonia Goransson : although the player struggled recently with a disease that kept her from playing regularly, it would be really a big signing in CL viewpoint !
