The first Women's Gulf Cup will be held in Bahrain in January 2009. It is expected that Kuwait will make their women's international debut at this event, and we might also see debuts from UAE, Oman and Iraq, who all have women's national teams, but so far haven't played. Bahrain and Qatar are the only 2 of the GCC countries who have played any women's international matches. I don't have any information on Saudi Arabia and Yemen, but women's football there appears to be very slow to get off the ground.
