This match is very lopsided. Portugal has almost no possession and was extremely lucky to not fall behind earlier than the 23rd minute when I left my desk for some coffee and Spain scored. Portugal just got away with a blatant handball in the box too. The GK has played well so far and she'll have to play phenomenally well to prevent this from being like 4-0.
Well, after trailing 2-0 at the half, Portugal held Spain scoreless the rest of the way. This is almost a moral victory considering how lopsided the opening half was. Spain had almost 80% of possession and all the scoring chances (UEFA's "dangerous attack" tally was something like 60-10) for the match, but the UEFA match commentary said Portugal stifled Spain's attack better in the second half. Portugal would've had to pull of a shock to make it out of a group with Spain and England, but hopefully it can get a result against Scotland. This is definitely still a national team in its infancy when it comes to competing at this level.
oh man that was painful to watch one shot off target in 93 mins, a Portuguese national team defending for 90 mins, oh well I guess they need to start some wear, and that number 10 was painful to watch Ana Leite i think is her name no pace at all , in the 1st half we had a very good breakaway down the right Ana Leite if it fell to any one else like the number 9 at right back we would of been in, england are now up 2-0 with 30 mins gone
well done to our ladies. beating Scotland 2-1 today their 1st ever goals and a victory at a championship
well done ladies you gave it a go if only you could of held out for the draw, we would of been in the quarters v Austria, well done again
