    Projected lineups:

WAC: Kofler - Standfest, Sollbauer, Hüttenbrenner, Palla - Tschernegg, coups - Wernitznig, Seidl, Ynclán - Hellquist

    BVB:
Bürki - Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer - Weigl - Mkhitaryan, Gundogan, Kagawa, Reus - Aubameyang

Finally, the first competetive game of the new season. Let's get a comfortable win.

Seems like Tuchel likes Miki on the left, otherwise he would play Kagawa and Miki at the same time.

So what is it, 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1?

Kagawa will be huge for TT this year.... he's likely just being rested and will be brought on if needed.

I presume we will see the FB's press forward with Reus pushing forward alongside Auba. Gundogan would then almost play a pseudo 10 role lying right behind.

Love that Weigl is getting the starting nod.

great turn by miki but really should gave centred to auba or cut it back, instead of shooting.

He didn't shoot. He crossed it for PEA who was too late.

So is Miki being our best player on the pitch?

I think Piszczek is done. He's slowed down and as a by-product his crosses are regularly misplaced. He's no longer the attacking force of 2 years ago.

Well i thought it was obvious he reached his peak back then. I don't see him as an undisputed starter under TT but it's important to have him so that Durm can look up to him as a model for the RB position.

I caught the last 15 minutes of the first half. You can see a notable difference in the way the team are trying to play. They are actually passing it out from the back and playing it up into dangerous areas. Also happy to see Weigl and Hofmann given a chance.

What about staying at the peak for more than half a season? I mean there are some instances even Marcel is outplaying him! That's almost unthinkable. The sooner TT gets Durm to replace him the better it'll be for us and Durm.

From my point of view Reus and Hummels have been borderline useless.
