So I'm minding my own business...Nashville Beachhead established, when I realize that the French and English Teams are both staying at my hotel. Is it entirely possible that these Teams are stalking me?!? I want France. 28 hours 43 minutes. Wait for it... Wait for it.. 2016 WILL BE GLORIOUS
I'm sure they're thinking the same thing about you. You always seem to establish a beachhead. Do you view every game you attend as a miniature D-Day invasion?
Well, a domestic invasion. We are battling for the Hearts, Minds and Souls of the local community. We are trying to rapidly implant the thought that we already know..... THE USWNT IS THE ONLY TEAM THAT MATTERS
If only the weekend could get any better......... Tobin and Lindsey sighting at my hotel. Saying hello to their ex-Club teammate(s)?.!? I caught them leaving the Hotel. (For me < 24 hours so pacing and chain-smoking has commenced) I wasn't dreaming, I swear. I have not reached the BAC level of T&T in Houston. 10 minutes ago I was 3 feet from Tobin Heath and Lindsey Horan. H. at this rate, Mia Hamm and I will be singing Karaoke together at the Grand Ole Opry later tonight.
as a UNC season ticket holder for 8 years now I feel both a bit of jealously & smugness of @jackdoggy 's experience. I routinely have HAO within earshot (unless she is calling the game from the booth), and Mia Hamm is frequently 10-15 yards away from me on the track, not to mention the regular attendance of ex-Tar Heels & current USWNT members. Still, that kind of day to day chance of running into big time WoSo names at any moment in your hotel lobby is pretty awesome. Not worked up the courage to ask for an autograph yet? I know I'd never be able to, even with the current UNC team. Katie Bowen was signing autographs on the concourse of a Washington Spirit game and I decided I wasn't worthy & just kept walking right past her.
One of the interesting things for me about these matches will be the attendance for match 2. In Tampa, a lot of the crowd timed their arrival for the second match but maybe that was a factor of it being a weekday. Hopefully most of the crowd sticks around for England v. Germany. It would show a bit of evolution in the US that fans stayed for a quality woman's match that didnt involve the USWNT.
Just so conditioned to only seeing them on the field or unloading from the bus. Really freaked me out at the time....all I could manage was a "Hi" to both. I mean, you don't often bump into the Pope at 7-11 as he is picking up a slurpee.
Long shot request here but does anyone know if any TV channels in France are broadcasting this match? I don't have ESPN 3 here in Suisse... Obviously
I like when the person who starts the thread also includes information for the match. what time is this match, where can we watch it? links? just saying semblance.....just saying.

If this is really the SheLearns Cup as Ellis keeps saying, Naeher in goal would have been a step in the right direction.
