Don't know about the AR, but I thought the ref would've had a good view of it. She wasn't that far away.

This game has some of the poorest refing I've seen in awhile.

I'm very pleased to be able to watch on line without needing to go through authentication. Thanks USSF & NBC! My basic cable package doesn't let me see NBCSN on line, or any of the sports networks for that matter.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the stream.

Anyone else think the yellow against JJ was a bad call?

Happy about no authentication, but bummer that it is geo-blocked...but yay for VPNs!

46' 3-0 Klingenberg to RB, Krieger to LB :ROFLMAO:
50' 3-0 ... they turn back into pumpkins

62' 4-0 USA sustain relentless pressure in the 1/3. Ball drops to Krieger at 25m wide right, pass to Lloyd facing away at box top mid-right. Lloyd chests-and-turns down to 6m mid-right, scoops a float pass to 4m center. Morgan back-cuts #5 Diana Saenz to create 1 step lateral separation, nods an easy header along bottom of roof into back left high, way over #1 Diaz.

66' 4-0 Lloyd turns past circle top right, looks up and sees GK #1 Diaz way up at her 15m(!!) -- and lobs her. Wide left, but still.

67' 4-0 USA subs in (1? of 3) LB #19 Jaelene Hinkle for RB #11 Ali Krieger (and Klingenberg => RB?).
68' 4-0 USA subs in (2? of 3) #2 Mallory Pugh for #16 Crystal Dunn.

Every time I see the #9 jersey, I think "HAO did make the roster!" And then, "wait, that's not HAO."

73' 4-0 USA longball sends Brian racing up wide right to 10m, bends a cross to 7m 1/4 right. Heath outruns 1 through arc tangent left, lunge-volley off her left shin sails just over bar.

74' 4-0 USA subs in (3 of 3) #12 Christen Press for CB #8 Julie Johnston. 3-5-2

79' 4-0 Pugh dribbles away from endline through box right to 15m mid-right, shoots left instep low drive to left post (or just outside), Diaz smothers.

81' 4-0 Horan short tap to Lloyd at circle center, tightly marked by -- the ref :D Lloyd loses it, flaps arms, ref gives her a stern look.

83' 5-0 Klingenberg long pass to Morgan facing away at arc top, square tap left to Lloyd at 19m mid-left. Lloyd backpass to Brian, simple diagonal pass to Heath lurking at box top left. Heath drives down box left to ~12m, bends a cross to 8m left post. Press is stuck slightly ahead of ball, turns away and sticks foot out away from goal -- perfect knockdown dumps ball in front of her as she spins 180 cw. Press half-stumbles, chips left instep just inside left post past Diaz's dive.

90+1' (of +3') 5-0 Pugh dribbles inward to 12m box right, turns on serious jets and beats the LB to 2m mid-right by 1m+. Sharp cutback ground cross to 6m center for Lloyd running on alone in a wide seam -- brutally shanked off her left shin, sidespins left along 6-top. That's the problem with Lloyd :devilish:

FT 5-0. We trail Mexico on GD :giggle:

Did USWNT just screw up Costa Rica's chances?

It's so unfair that Christen isn't starting, her Goals per minutes are even better than Lloyd's

 It takes more than one player, you know. It's not about having the best 11 players, it's about having the 11 players who function best as a unit.

CR has to beat Mexico...if they cant then they have taken a step backward even if they get in on GD.

I like Press in this role as long as Ellis gives her real minutes and not just cameos.

I liked seeing Press and Morgan both in the box for the Heath cross. Both are very good in front of the goal and provide different options for the crosses and set piece.

The US game was not going to be THE game for Costa Rica (or for any other team in the group). Its about the other opponents for them as just about everyone expects US to win all 3 group games and come in first.

I thought it was an interesting formation if ur chasing a game. In this case they got away with it because CR couldnt mount a counter but not sure I like to see it in a tie match.
