Figured we should just have one preseason thread. There's a Wizards training video on the front page of the sports section of the KC Star Website here. The direct link to the playlist is here.

I've been getting way too much buffering when trying to get it to stream. I have an 8mb down connection too. It did eventually work though.

    quotes from Zavagnin, Hartman etc.

Nice find it's good to see them out there knocking a ball around it means the season is just that much closer.

Hartman's hair ... wow! That is bad. He needs a buzz cut.

It was buffering through what must have been Onalfo. It sounded like KZ's voice to me.

FWIW: I did see Metrosports last night had a small feature on the team and they were practicing in the Arrowhead indoor facility. Normal dog & pony show type stuff but one clip of Nick said (in summary) that he was excited about Onalfo; although Gansler was an excellent coach his ideas and approach haven't been updated in about a decade and it was nice to have some fresh thinking and approach about game tactics, training, philosphy etc...

Gansler's resume speaks for itself but you wonder how much he relied on his experience instincts vs retraining his thinking in an ever evolving league. Call it the Bora syndrome or whatever but I have to agree that he came off at times as though you can't tell me how to do it, I've been doing this for x years and I'm proven. I'll be curious how Toronto does with him as an assitant to Mo. They're getting a significant amount of talent but will Bob's approach smother the some of Mo's vision overall.

Apparently we're going to be going to Argentina for preseason. I don't remember hearing about this before but it may have been mentioned and I missed it. It's mentioned in this thread (in the first post) talking about Groenwald saying that he may not be able to go on the trip.

I remember someone mentioning it, maybe at the season ticket holder party or something. Someone mentioned that Raybould was really looking forward to it.

Anyone know if these are open to the public? I have just moved about 2hrs south of Bradenton, and would love to go up over the weekend and watch KC play DC.

His "2000 Flushes swirly" look from the 2000 playoffs would now be somewhat appropriate.

I don't know what they had to be worried about, Gomez is no longer on the team.

If Gomez had still been with the team, I would have expected animal rights activists to be protesting the mistreatment of the aligators via his "shots".

Some of you may recall that a friend/coworker of mine sat in Cauldron in 2005 and also played in some Sunday kickarounds. Cesar Torres.
Well, he lives near Bradenton, Florida. And he's going to try to go to the Wiz-Crew scrimmage tomorrow and get us a report. Possibly some pictures.

I remember Cesar. He had quite the hard shot. I sprained my right wrist when I stopped two of his point blank shots.
