Not brushing off anything. but according to MLS N&A it was in fact their third team we played, not the reserves.

A story here on the Wizards website about Jewsbury's transition to right back this preseason. I've always liked Jack as a player. Hopefully he can do what none of our converted midfielders could do last year in that spot.

On another note, also good to see Bob Rusert back doing stories for MLS.net.

San Lorenzo was the best team the Wizards played down in Argentina.

I've had more than one player say to me that they may be the best team we play all year. And it was basically a mix of reserves and first-team subs, no real starters.

Wizards players are eager to get season started

    Onalfo saying team is ready
    Practice facility: Sprint and Swope
UCLA players basking in win over Kansas (there weren't still some KU fans that had that DVR'd and not watched were there? No? Ok, no result tag then)
    Ryan McMahen - ACL tear.

so if McMahen did tear his ACL and is out for the season, that's 2 guys on our 28 man roster that are likely done for this season (Groenwald)

And still no sign of an A-Mid or 3 SI spots.

Can't you trade SI slots? Toronto might have needed one if they had wanted to keep Busch.

One of my two favorite teams, The University of Evansville Purple Aces, comes calling on the Wizards this weekend. Is there anything that any of you KC fans are specifically looking for in this match?

It's not much, but I do have an ongoing thread about the Aces here if anyone's interested.

The Aces also have a brief article here:

I'm pretty sure that the Aces are facing our reserve squad.

well with the game being against the reserve team, I think for the most part we are just looking to see which of our current crop of our reserves are looking good, and which if any look like they will be able to step up and compete this season for some first team action. Personally I'm also looking forward to seeing some more of the rookies that we have on the team that will be playing with the reserves.
