Whats up with wisla krakow? It seems that thet had very little fans watching their games and that the newspapers only talked about Legia... Is something going on?

    Thanks :)

maybe the MODs can alter the title of this thread to relect Wisla as the sole particpant in the UEFA Cup....

    anyway,

Wisla lost to Blackburn today 1-2

by all accounts Wisla played well and even had the lead after scoring first

but did anyone see the game, i'm curious to what happened on the last goal where Dudka fell down, pretending to be injured, in his own box trying to have the game stopped, only to have Blackburn score the winning goal

South African and Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy is claiming he was racially abused by players from Wisla Krakow yesterday. There will be an investigation into this matter.

If this comes to light as true, it is sad. Polish football has enough problems, but to enter racial problems as another just makes the PZPN and the country of Poland look bad.

If this did happen, those players that did it and the club should be penalized in a major way. I do not care if it is a Polish club, a Spanish club or any club for that matter, racial abuse should not be tolerated one bit.

    echo your sentiments....
however - the player that is charged with racial abuse towards McCarthy is actually a Serbian player

That's awesome!! We may still have a team in Europe in 2007. Hope they get a good result in Rotterdam.

    Fantastic result.

Feynoord has been surprisingly struggling, with no wins. All we need is a draw and we're through. It will obviously be very tough to get a result in Rotterdam, as they will be desperate to get a win, but Wisla must get motivated for it. I think if they are on top of their game they can scrape out a draw.

This sucks. Wisla's defense to blame for the loss, from what I've read. The team needs a coaching change, forget this Eastern European coaching mentality, time to hire someone with vision. How can a team loaded with present, past and future national team players and decent foreigners not make it into the last 32 of what is a second rate club competition? It must be the coaching, I don't see any other reason.

Yea it sucks, and we are fifth in the league too!!! I don't know about a coaching change, but management will have a little bit of time to think about it with the winter break

That'd be amazing I hope Uefa considers this since well they can't give the other team a free pass.
