We HAVE to win that EL man! It's our last chance at any kind of glory for the next decade or two if the stadium fails.
Still on a high after the Inter game, I really think this is the closest we've ever been to Juve's level. I know this sounds foolish (considering our market history), but we really can not sell any player this upcoming summer. Our team chemistry is at a all time high, selling any major player will just put us right back to the 2nd/3rd place spot. I say we could get away with selling Paredes, adding midfield depth and a solid backup to Dzeko.
Its sounding more and more like Szczesny won't be at Roma next year. Alisson has looked very good his last few matches but WS has been probably the best GK in the league this year. http://arsenalfever.com/arsenal-star-confirms-willingness-to-leave-the-club-in-the-summer/
Yes, if someone really has to be sacrificed it should be Paredes. Wouldn't mind too much if it was Manolas though. He's strong and I would like to keep him but he's not as important anymore as he was in a 4 at the back formation. Let's see. Don't know if Arsenal would really give him the #1 spot. Either way we're set at this position with Alisson and Skorupski who is also competing for GK of the season with his performances at Empoli.
Yea, Skorupski really is playing well this year. I've always thought he was a decent reserve. In that article is sounds like WS isn't sold on coming back to Roma but is going to look for the highest bidder.
I may have been half asleep but I could have sworn that Spalletti said or at least implied on Sunday's Domenica Sportiva that he will leave if Totti leaves or retires. He may have been just blowing smoke though... There may be some truth to it though... Spalletti sposa Totti: “Se lo fanno smettere, vado via anche io” Spalletti: "Il mio contratto? Rinnovate Totti" Spalletti, ossessione Totti Roma, Spalletti: "Siamo cresciuti. Il mio futuro? Ora rinnovo per Totti"
I'm sure he was just blowing smoke. That said, Totti doesn't start and Ibra isn't Spalletti's type, IMO.
I would've agreed last year, but he's not having his best season tbh. The match against Atletico last week was characteristic for it and a real disaster for him. But at least he was self-critical afterwards.
Same, trust the scouting team to find centerbacks as they've found a good one every year(except 2014) and Paredes gone means we can sign Kessie or someone like that
