http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2017/03/27/report-american-teenager-linked-with-manchester-united/ American teenager Will Vint is reportedly being pursued by Premier League giants Manchester United after previously having trials Fulham and Everton. Vint, the 15-year-old son [of] Everton academy director Peter Vint, has reportedly impressed the Red Devils while on trial. Additionally, the teen’s Instagram page describes him as a “Footballer at Manchester United.” Date of Birth: 10/12/2001 USSDA profile: http://rlco.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=1433528&player=30925139 This appears to be his father: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...sports-science-guru-transforming-everton-fc2/ With his father working in the UK, he is legally able to be registered in England. Getting signed with the strict work permit rules may be another issue.
Here's the Daily Mail piece linked in the article above as a source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-United-eye-deal-American-teenager-Vint.html
TDS claims that Real Colorado has confirmed reports of the Man U move. https://www.topdrawersoccer.com/clu...prospects:-us-teen-to-european-power_aid41657
The interesting thing is his dad just resigned at Everton, which could put Will's right to be registered in the UK in peril, unless dad already has another gig lined up in the UK.
TDS also said that he only made four appearances with Real Colorado and scored twice. Not to down play the kid too much because lack of playing could be based on any given number of circumstances. It just strikes me as one of those times where BS posters end up too excited because of a clubs name.
Yeah premature on my behalf, I didn't really mean BS but US Soccer fans on the Internet because I've seen it a few times on this website, Reddit, and Twitter. But I stand by my point besides that part.
He would be the 3rd US-eligible player at ManU in the last year. Seems pretty ho-hum, at least in this forum, these days. We've become jaded.
Articles on his ManU signing, even after Dad resigned at Everton: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...n-rejected-the-toffees-for-manchester-united/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...d-transfer-news-american-wonderkid-will-vint/
An additional article: Vint apparently impressed Manchester United’s staff on his trial, according to those reports, and the club is currently mulling his future in Manchester. One source told me Vint scored nine of his team’s 11 goals playing for a Chester FC and positively ripped apart Manchester United and Liverpool. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/the9...eing-courted-by-manchester-united/#more-43516
His dad has been retweeting some ManU U15 tweets, so I assume that's the squad he's on now. Be interesting to see if he can stay and where dad ends up next.
Can't find much about him since the initial flurry, but he is on this U16 roster that went to Hong Kong in August: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=24274

Posted on his Insta. Captained the Man Utd u16s for at least one match in the MIC football tourney in Spain.
Official announcement: https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-under-18-intake-for-2018-19-season
This official announcement is really weird... he's really only an afterthought in the announcement, and not included in the list at the bottom. Is it almost like another trial? Just sort of a weird way to be included.
I wonder if there is an EU passport in the mix? He was in England because of his dad, who isn't at Everton anymore. His dad has his own firm and lists "Chester, England" as his location on Twitter. Of course, dad might have his own work permit or might be able to keep his previous one.
can anyone give more info on how/where he plays? 6/8/10? the dreaded "deep lying 8 whos not very defensive" weve got about 11 of?
I've seen two full matches of Will and he plays an out and out 6. Even wore the 6 jersey last season.
