http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...sues-nfl-50m-seattle-seahawks-playoff-tickets The USSF essentially does the same thing as the Seahawks, attempts to keep opposing fans out of the stadium. They have used different tactics than the Seahawks recently (there were some very unsavory incidents in the past) using the US supporters club and AO.
Nothing to see here. The fan suing the NFL is saying that he faced discrimination because they limited a credit card sale to certain addresses of specific states. (He is also suing for $50 million dollars, but that is beyond the point.) While he may have a point there, I'm sure that there are clauses somewhere in the fine print about "right to refuse service" which will cover it. If what the USSF and AO were doing is illegal, then every single pre-sale for every single event is illegal because it is discriminating against fans who are not in fan clubs/season ticket holders/etc. Uh, yeah. Not going to happen.
A fair settlement for a Las Vegas resident (or anyone else, frankly) would be for the NFL/Seahawks to mail him a ticket for the next lottery prize above $50M.
