Excited to announce I'll be playing for Borussia Dortmund for the 2016-17 season and will postpone my career at Duke for another year #BVB💛— Will Pulisic (@willpulisic) March 21, 2016 U17s #1 keeper this past cycle.
His US profile: http://www.ussoccer.com/players/2014/03/15/02/35/william-pulisic#tab-2 He's a '98, turning 18 next month. Since he and Christian are cousins, he's likely eligible for the same Croatian passport, though it's not required in Germany at 18.
Sounds like he won't be getting paid if he still has the option to go to Duke next year. I guess a year long trial of sorts.
Yes--they're cousins. Will went over to Germany last moth to "visit" Christian. He is still going to come to NC for a few months before he goes back to Germany. Last summer he trained with the NASL Carolina Railhawks.
This lists him at 5'11", although it was posted two years ago. Anyone know if that's still his current height?
Celebrated his 18th birthday a few days ago. I'm guessing the plan now is to graduate high school and head to Dortmund this summer.
Last I heard he's still planning to play for the Railhawks NPSL team in NC this summer before going to Dortmund.
Seems like an odd decision to me, risking injury before a dream move to BVB for a few months in the NASL. Wouldn't it be wiser to show up early in Dortmund for pre-season?
I guess my point was a lot of folks of Croatian ancestry tend to be quite tall. Even Luka Modric is 5'9 and considered small there (while hes average height here). Though of course most pro athletes tend to be taller than average.
Luka Modric is average height here too. Croatia avg is 5-9.9 and US is 5-9.4 about half inch difference. Very close. Also to repeat Christian Pulisic is only 1/4 or possibly 1/2 Croatian by blood so your assumption is off. https://www.google.com/fusiontables...HmKJOgO9k5lTlIBh0WALCz-MpXOuoXwznyM#rows:id=1
i wanna say some of it is due to the Vietnam War but probably more so to just their diet. The Dutch are tall and basically any folks from Serbia/Croatia/Bosnia.
Will said he is going to Dortmund this next fall and will either stay there or return to Duke in fall, 2017 (not 2016). Not sure on all the details but sounds like he wants to go pro if he can.
Based on what info. I linked in data based on studies and statistics. You write something slightly different, of about 1/2 inch more without any link. Not saying one doesn't exist, just use it before correcting for 6 months.
