Liverpool were never in with a chance after selling Suarez and with Gerrard in his worst form ever it was inevitable they'd start failing.
That's the truth. I've always been objective, even with Liverpool. But I feel that the SAS year was the only chance LFC will have of winning the Premier League maybe for another 20 years. Guess we'll have to settle for Champions League or an FA Cup.
Hey geniuses... this thread is over a year old. This is about the LFC team that finished second, why are you bumping this? Someone please lock this. Mods? Kill this dead subject.
Why can't this thread be about this year's Liverpool now? It's always the question every year with our "Next year is our year" fan slogan.
I don't think they say it with as much hope as we do! Or the ones that do have won the Premiere League . Interesting team this year though, still not convinced on Rodgers. Changed the entire backroom staff but forgetting to dismiss himself. It's like he blamed everyone else for the misdirection of last season when he's clearly the one making up the game plans etc.
That's silly. The teams outside the Top 5 have about a 0.5% chance combined of winning the title. Probably less than 0.1% if you take out Spurs. Liverpool's the only team that has a prayer of breaking up the dominance of the Top 4 clubs.
The answer is no, they will not win the league title. This is obvious. A cursory glance will show that this thread was created under the very surprising circumstances that surrounded the 2013-14 season. That's why this exists. So to bump a year and a half old thread and re-ask this question "just because" makes no sense. Might as well be asking the same thing of Spurs right now. If you want to talk about potential title winners, start a new thread about Arsenal or something. This subject is about the SAS LFC that was scoring for fun, not about LFC in perpetuity.
Liverpool needs better improvement in the second half against Bournemouth. Even the goal is offside under the new offside rule. Cheap possession give away, it's been appalling. All "potential" no final product. Benteke has been good though winning balls and good movements.
The supporters' unreasonably high expectation is one of the reasons why it is near impossible to manage Liverpool.
