I'm confident in Nacho. Starting from the beginning is a vastly different experience to getting thrown in there in the heat of battle like that.
Besides, Nacho didn't even commit the biggest mistake of the match: That pass Ramos played directly to Torres(?) during the first half that started a counter had me screaming reaching perfect pitch in high and low notes at the same time.
This can't be the end of Pepenbauer in the white shirt. Not like this and I'm not even being all that sentimental here. Give him the 2 year contract that he deserves and a long summer to rest and get ready for the next season.
Don't think 2 years is wise, not with who we have out on loan. I'd give him a year at a maybe higher salary and move Nacho to full time RB backup.
I see your point, but we need 4 CB's anyway and in the 2 year contract scenario we have them for 2018-2019 season when Nacho is moved to full time FB and Vallejo is back from loan (I'm 100% against bringing him back for next season).
I don't think he will be fit/ready for Bayern's game (he was shaky even before his injury), but we will probably field him vs. Barca.
Shame. I like Nacho has been excellent save for a few lapses in concentration in the last 3 games. I am more comfortable with him than I am with Varane who has been nothing short of a disaster this season
You do realize Nacho is 1 yellow away from suspension in La Liga right? All this bashing of our players is getting out of hand. Root for your dam team
So was Ramos against Bayern and look how that turned out. I trust our players to keep their composure. Sporting are in the relegation zone if getting a yellow is such an issue Casemiro can just as easily slot into the backline and we haven't lost anything in defence. Disaster is probably not the right word to use here. A better phrase would be well below average. And that is the truth. He has been averaging a ******** up every 3 games since the start of the season. I am glad he's not starting against Bayern because he is incapable of playing against a forward who is good with his back to goal which Lewandowski is. I am not hating, God no but as often happens people completely forget the previous performances of players who are injured and think they'll be saviours. Truth is, we haven't missed Varane one bit. It's a shame Pepe is out for so long because he is the best defender we have. Without him it doesn't matter who plays because they all come with their flaws and aren't even half as good as him
May 3rd according to the link below, I'd take it with a grain of salt though. But it's the best that I could find. http://www.transfermarkt.com/raphael-varane/verletzungen/spieler/164770
Pepe: "I am happy & 100% able to play. I have a contract until June 30. I am going to wait for Real Madrid until the very end!"
