With so many injuries going on ,the idea of creating this thread popped on my mind. Delete it if you don't think it's appropriate. Here we can list the current injuries and our ideas on how to deal with them, the formations and cursing Bale for being made out of glass :p

Our 442 with Casemiro in will be an extremely well balanced lineup. Even the Barca tiki taka will have trouble penetrating

We're OK as it is for the classico. If we put enough pressure on their midfield they lose that battle and as for the lack of pace, Vasqez is quick enough to make Sergi Roberto think twice before bombing forward.

They wouldn't play against each other though. Lucas will play Alba, who is a handful. I think Roberto is a lucky kid TBH..

Lucas can cover with Dani because they'll have Neymar and Alba coming down the left.

Don't think Sergio Roberto will get much of a break. We will will overload the left with Isco, Marcelo and Ronaldo, so he may not have to deal with Bale's pace, but he'll have a lot of other stuff to worry about.

It's not that bad though, Zidane wants to take no risk and keep Varane healthy and ready for Clasico. That's more important than a match against Gijon tbh.

Coentrao also has a thigh issue that has kept him out the squad for this weekend.

Keeps on getting injured always. I guess he earns the most if we factor in his playing time.

Probably gives a window of opportunity to James.

I first saw it on Goal, but after simply typing "Bale injury" on google, every newspaper was reporting the same thing.

It's the best opportunity for James, Asensio, Vazquez to gain minutes. I'm not worried very much.

After operating his leg, the affected area was more than expected so Bale's recovery time will be longer (out until April 2017). [as]

This is exactly why James stayed. Everyone knows that Bale is super prone to injuries.

So, Bale is effectively out for the rest of the season, he might play a few games at the end of it.

Pretty much. I'd prefer a 4-4-2 for our main games:
    Ronaldo-Morata
    Isco-Kroos(Casemiro for now)-Modrić-Kovačić
I think this 4-4-2 would be a killer. 4 middlefield players with amazing workrates combined with Morata. The pressure and possession would be great.
That's 4 mid players who a average over 88.4 % pass accuracy and have killer through balls.
