We started being a fan of the soccer club. Most clubs were sponsored by small businesses like restraunts and bars. We drank at their bars and ate at their restraunts. The players went to their bars and ate at their restraunts. Club teams were all adult teams. They enter a league we would play or go to their games. Then we go back to the bars or restraunts and celebrate or complain about the officiating or being unlucky. One of the best teams I played for had only about 600 to 1000 people at the games. No charge to watch a game. Our wives and kids came to watch us play. I met my wife of 50 years watching us play. Funny my kids can't stay married to the same person for more then 6 yrs.
