It's because regardless of who the young man "currently" wants to play for, Rossi is an American.

This is so absolutely bizarre to me (although I understand it... Pizarro's case is somewhat related to this). In any case, why would anybody want in their team a player that has shown absolutely NO interest to play for these colors?

It happens with this kid Rossi, it happens to the Mexicans with that kid Nery Castillo... if you have to coerce and sweet talk these players to play for your NT then perhaps they are not the players you need anyway.

I mean, am I weird for thinking this way?

Woah, hold your horses there. Castillo has never said he doesn't want to play for Mexico. In fact, he has stated many times that he's looking forward to Mexico.

Voy a jugar por Mexico. Para mi es un honor vestir los colores de la Seleccion Mexicana; es mi pais, es lo que traigo en la sange...

If he'd ever say otherwise, he would first be crucified, then forgotten.

Ahh, I was under the impression that he was still feeling undecided about the whole thing. I still think it's a little fishy it's taken him this long to decide who he wants to play for.

I don't think it was and to be honest I can't find too many faults in his post, Toon. Being Australian, trust me, I know what it's like to see top end talent leave these shores for supposed greener pastures, and even though it's changing nowadays, we still missed out on the likes of Vieri, Simunic, Johnston etc etc. Fact is if these guys aren't serious enough about the logo on their shirt then you're prolly better off without them in any case. The FIFA dual citizenship ruling shits me to tears, but it does serve it's purpose. At least this way we find out who's serious about representing their country, or more concerned about their club contract.

I didn't think it was wrong, I was just making sure he doesn't think I like Rossi or think he should play for the US. I despise the little shit and hope he tears his ACL.

Interesting time, actually. It'll be interesting to see what he does over there, and what opportunities (if any) arise with the national team.. My guess would be obviously not in the near future.

I know you are not dissing us, the only way you are gonna beat is if the match is played in a Hollywood movie.

Get ready to feel the wrath of the White and Sky blue then, you will soon find out the power of THE South American powerhouse

Unfair criticism, to be honest. Seeing the spazzos that we've had around these places over time... his comments fit right into the spazzo mentality that we all love and hate. I have to be honest and say that I wasn't sure he was serious either...
