Was Wheeler "JoeyInfo"? I barely and vaguely remember that whole period. But JoeyInfo was great and it was a sad, sad day here in Crewville when he disappeared.

Um... I don't think he was.. I think BA was quoting an article Walt wrote...

But I really am not a hundred percent certain. Maybe someone else can add the .02 percent uncertainty that I have with answering your question.

I think Walt went by CrewRogue.

EDIT: Yep, he signed one of his posts while discussing the 2004 Supporters Shield debacle.

Other club forums should be jealous, our mods are super sleuths aka they know how to use the search option.

That whole thread is an interesting read. Explains some of the sentiment towards Crew Union.

I had no idea. (Late to the group 2007-)

That was a completely different entity from the current Crew Union. The current iteration began in 2007 and was mostly V-Army people at the time of that thread.

Wheeler... The man, the myth, the legend!

The rumor was that he actually was Bill Archer, and noob fans would come up to him at games and stuff like "wow Bill, your last blog rocked!"

In the end, the Godfather just went with it :D

...prob what pissed off the real Archer.

Walt Wheeler had a fart that could clear a room faster than anyone in history. Heck, I've seen him clear outdoor patios... on a windy day (although to be fair, Keegan's patio was sunk down a little bit and shielded from the wind a bit).

I will be honest. The reason I don't sit in the Supporters section is that I am not able to chant and keep track of what is happening with the game.
I sat in the supporters section during a Concacaf game are realized I did not even know who had the ball.
There are no medications for my condition.

I find when you know the chants well and you remain pretty sober... you can follow the match and chant when you hear the chants you know.

I find that if I know the chants pretty well and I get a little drunk, I can still follow the match and chant the chants I know (and even some of those I don't).

I sit in the same seat I have had since the stadium opened because the better energy in the supporter's section isn't enough to overcome the advantages of seeing the game better from the upper deck at midfield, the friends I have made where my seats are located, and the fact that the friends and family I bring with me to the games want to sit down.

Truth be told, most of the time, my feet appreciate having a load taken off them, too.

That depends on what you like.

Do you like to be up close and personal to the action? Pretty good seats can be found on the sidelines in the first 10 rows. Especially on the east side.

Do you like to see everything as it's happening? You may want to consider the east or west upper decks.

Do you want be comfortable and not too crowded? Club seats on the west side.

Do you just want the cheapest ticket available and then go wherever? Buy a south stands ticket and stand on the stage.

Do you want to sing and cheer and never sit down for the entire game? Talk to the supporter's groups and get a nordecke ticket.

    Hope that helps.

that awesome! we went to the mexico Usa match. which was INSANE. I really like the idea of being around of people ready to watch his team lose haha. but i dont see anywhere how much it is? gonna be a nice 11 hour drive ha. i signed up for the CSN nation tab as well saw something about a possible discount on a single game ticket.
