Every two years, I posted the same reply. It is not an North American thing. In most rugby countries, football means rugby.... that is most of the English-speaking countries. And that was why the UK magazine is called "World Soccer". The Australians called themselves socceroos. Once I spoke to a white South African about the WC in 2010.... "No, we are not hosting the World Cup in football.... that was many years ago." I finally figured that he did not know that I was talking about soccer.
