It's not a cvase opf assigning blame. It's a case opf finding a way which allows you to get the best out of vboth percentage-wise. Best to get 90% out of both, rather than 95% our of one, but only 60% out of the other. Capello has found an answer, I think. Gerrard is given the freedom to roam when we're in possession, but asked to slot back in when we lose the ball, which is what every player should be doing anyway. Lampard is played in his favoured central, position (as he's not as athletic as Gerrard), but played slightly deeper, so he has to pick and choose his runs from midfield more carefully.
