I appologize. I just get so annoyed with all these refs giving English teams every benefit of the doubt. With a fair referee Aalborg would be going up against Hamburg.
I understand. I'm upset more because unless Dynamo or Shaktar win it, no team outside a top 10 coefficent league will. I like that type of underdog. Champions League also, but now with the resources clubs have that's a no.
Well I wouldn't bet against a Eastern European winner. But I'm basically happy as long as City don't win. Wouldn't mind Udinese winning. That'd be nice.
At this point if we give 1 point per team in the UEFA Cup QFs and 2 per team in the UEFA CL QFs we'd have: England - 9 points (4 x 2 + 1) Spain - 4 points (2 x 2) Germany - 4 poiints (2 + 2) Portugal - 2 points France - 2 points Ukraine - 2 points Italy - 1 point From here: - At this point, the EPL seems to have no competition as the best league. - Italy has lost ground significantly. - Portugal starts and ends with Porto. - France lacks a team strong enough to do well in the CL. - The Netherlands continue losing ground as well. - Ukraine has shown more than Russia. 1. EPL . . 2. La Liga . . . 3. Serie A 4. Bundesliga . 5. Ligue 1 . . 6. Portuguese Liga 7. Ukrainian Premier League . 8. Russian Premier League 9. Eredivisie
Werder Bremens year. About time I reckon. But I agree, an Eastern European would be nice, adds a certain nostalgic feel to it.
Looks like Shakhtar or Kiev are gonna make it. They're strong and hot for the Cup! Hamburg and Werder - whoever's gonna make it - are strong but often not confident enough what would be necessary...
Serie A is a better league then EPL. Just because English teams rule Europe don't mean the English league is better.
You have no proof for this assumption. It means the 8 teams, which represent the Premier league are better than the 8 teams which represent Serie A.
