I already ordered my Donovan #10. Screw all the haters, he's a great player and when he's on our team has the potential to do great things.

I feel Landon is alot like Beckham as in alot of people slate him but when he is missing from the team you notice it, He gives you so much and people donn't realise it till he is gone.

I'm leaning towards the Donovan #10 or Dempsey #8

Ching is currently on the outside looking in

don't the WC #s have to be between 1 and 23? i thought a country wanted to "retire" a number recently, (perhaps argentina and maradonna??), and the answer was that they could not because they had to use numbers 1 to 23.

as for the original q, my first choices are gooch and mcbride (and job if he'll play), although i may not be as excited about them if others are now jumping on those wagons. i like mine to be different from most.

i don't think it's until mid-May, and then it can still change for a period of time after that if there are any late injuries. you'll be up against the gun to get an order filled quickly.

I will not get a number on the home jersey, but the away one may look really dumb without one, so in that case, I'll probably get 10 with no name on the back, just cause 10 is the number of the best player more often than not.

What a shame as he will most likely be wearing 21.

Nike jerseys run on a two year cycle, so it's not unrealistic to figure he'll wear 10 in some game between now and 2008.

He's a lot like Beckham in that for every really awesome thing he does for the national team, he'll cancel it out by doing something that makes him look like a stupendous wiener. Don't get me wrong, he's a good guy to have around, but damned if he doesn't make me cringe on a regular basis.

No, not at all unrealistic. However, in the World Cup this summer I would be shocked to see him wearing it. 10 is usually the captain's number as I stated earlier in this thread and Reyna is the captain.

I'll probably get one Beasley and one other one. I wanted to get a Berhalter, but apparently he has tool relatives that work for the Fed, so maybe I'll have to change that.

i usually don't get name and numbers on my jerseys but these new ones wouldnt look as good without them.

does anybody know where to get the shirt and socks and if ussoccer is going to offer shorts with #'s on them?

how do you figure that? I see nothing wrong with getting your own name and number on the back of a jersey.

I quite disagree, jokeefe, I think everybody else looks like a$$holes wearing players' names and numbers, especially NFL shirts. My name's not Dempsey, McBride, or Adu, so why wear that name, especially with the personalization now available?
