Brazil vs Germany in the finals. Brazil as favorites, but Germany house CL winners (most of then) and many more players. With a good coach, they can organize the pool of talent effectively, winning the WC.

FIFA TOP5 Spain, Germany , Argentina, Columbia, Portugal
ELO TOP5 : Brazil, Spain, Germany Argentina, Netherland

A quote doesn't have to be an argument or a rebuttal.

    Sure.

But if you think - like I - that Brazil is a favourite, maybe could've quoted the dude who disagreed. :whistling:

Belgian team is a quite interesting case. They have a lot of world-class players and qualified for tournament in very good style, but a lot of people say "No, they can't win it.", "They don't have experience.", "Are you serious? Do you really think that Belgium could be World Champion?". It reminds me situation before France 98'. Host nation also had a phenomenal squad and potential to victory in competition. Also a lot of people thought "Lol no" ( :D ) and wasn't treating they as serious favourite. I really think that Belgium could do it and I'll be cheering they in June.
BTW My dream final: Belgium - Germany 2-2 after extra time, and Belgium win on penalties.

Belgium didnt even qualify for the european championships, qualified to the world cup out of a weak group. And in the friendlies they have gone vs top teams they have lost just like they lost in europe vs top teams. They haven beaten any great teams. The only reason they are the darlings is because all the young kids they have that play for top clubs in europe but they havent convinced me.

They have as much talent as anyone in the tournament, it might look like a dream now but so did Spain prior to 2010.

Spain NT produced many worldclass players prior to 2008 in Casillas, Xavi Iniesta Ramos Puyol Torres, Xabi Alonso ...
and just before 2010, the number of Worldclass increased with new names in Busquet, Villa, Cecs, and Mata

Talent was never Spain problem just like talent is not the problem for Ghana and most african teams.

With all the respect, the talent in Ghana and the talent in Spain are in two different levels.
