Franklin Salas "EL MAGO" is back.

Did anyone see what Ecuador did in the World Cup? Or am I the only one?

Most of the players on the Ecuador team play for Liga.

Plus add on top of that, Roberto Palacios, Ariel Graziani,
    El Mago, and Turbo Gonzalez.

If El Mago comes to play look out!!!

    Internacional Vs. Liga

    Internacional 2-0!!

SoccerScout might be right, Inter may go all the way.

Impressive win even though Liga played with their second string team
and were dressed up like a bunch of pansies with yellow uniforms.

Did everbody get the chicken flu? Is that why they looked like chickens?

Who will win Libertadores now that the great LDU has been knocked off?

    The final: Inter over Chivas
    Game 1: 0-0 Game 2: Internacional 1-0 :p

    Re: Internacional Vs. Liga

Tell me how was it a 2nd string team?

Agustin Delgado, Ambrossi, Mora, Vera, Palacios, Reasco, Espinola, Mendez, Urrutia.... do i need to go on? Same exact team LDU has been using the entire tournament

    Sad excuse

    Libertad has really impressed me.

Inter is playing nice but they were 2 inches away from going to PKs against an LDU that played absolutely horrible. I see them losing in the semis.

If Libertad can keep Bobadilla (rumour has it he may be headed Boca's way) they certainly have one of the best chances to win the whole thing.
Upto this round, LDU had been one of the best teams.
Chivas and Velez have been very impressive, as well.
I thought Inter had started off slowly, but I think they could spring a surprise.
Objectively, I think Libertad has the best chance right now, followed by Inter/SPFC, and Velez/Chivas.

Bobadilla has joined Boca. As soon as he finished playing the quarterfinals with Libertad he headed to Argentina for the medical and everything else.

Which I don't understand since Libertad are still in contention for the title and they need him  But good for Boca :D

I can see an all Brazilian final (again) between Sao Paulo and Internacional.. I don't see Libertad beating Internatcional.. As for the game between Chivas/Velez - SPFC, I don't know about Velez.. They are a great team, but without their 3 best players (Gracian, Castroman, and Zarate), I don't see them winning the tournament.. I don't even know if they'll be able to beat Chivas today.. =\

Between Sao Paulo and Internacional, I think Internacional would win.. Sao Paulo hasn't impressed me this tournament.. They lost to Chivas (both in Brazil and Mexico) in the group stage, and now they were almost eliminated by Estudiantes, who isn't a greaaaat team.. Internacional, on the other hand, has been looking rock solid throughout the whole tournament.

Well obviously Bobadilla was a huge key to the team but hes not the one that scored the goals... remmember the defense, midfield, and attack will still be the same for Libertad.

But yeah Boca could have atleast waited till after the Libertadores to pick him up

You cannot tell me the team would've made it had he not been there
He's been superb, to say the least. He has made 2-3 clutch saves EACH game.
I think the team could've probably made it to the 2nd round without him, however, they would not have made it this far or won as comfortably (goal difference wise) had he not been their goalie.

I doubt they would have defeated River without him. In the first match, he was, without a doubt, the key player.. If any other goalie was in his position, Libertad would have lost 5-2, minimum.. As for the second match, he made 2 or 3 "impossible" saves.

Your right, like i said Bobadilla was a huge part of the team.. i'm just saying Libertad is still the same team and they will not automatically suck all of a sudden because Bobadilla left.

on that note, Bobadilla needs to start for Paraguay over Villar in the next qualifiers, and with Martino as coach thats very possible :D

I agree, it's not like Libertad will collapse once he leaves... Bobadilla has been great, but if Libertad can get a decent enough keeper they will be alright.

    Libertad campeon!

    Oh, no, of course not.
They are def. not gonna suck once he leaves.
But I am just saying that having a "hot" Gk is as important anything in this tournament.
Remember Henao with Caldas? The guy is practically shyte now, but back then he was unbeatable (during that Libertadores Cup run).
Rogerio wasn't as great with SPFC last year, but he def. was at least, excellent, plus he's very vocal (leadership), and can even score.
But you're def. right about team not collapsing were Bobadilla to leave.

I wouldnt call Inter a "surprise".

Inter has only lost 4 games in 2006. 2 of which were with reserves.

Only 1 loss in the Libertadores against LDU away.

Inter is at the top of the Brasileirao 2 points off 1st place.

Inter has great fans and is one of Brazil biggest clubs.
