Thanks to FSWE I've been able to see a lot of Honduran soccer. Olympia is the team that has impressed me the most. They have some really good players. Out of curiousity, how much does the Honduran top flight pay? What about about lower divisions?

honduran players at top teams will make 4 to 5k in dollars per Month

the rest 1000 and change, that could be a close estimate.

In 2001, Honduran coach, Raul Maradiaga was on a show in Mexico (Los Protagonistas- Tv Azteca) and they covered a lot of things about Honduran soccer.

I believe it was Andres Marin who asked how much a footballer in Honduras made. Maradiaga said that they dont live extravagant, not like a Pavon. The top player will make 3K per month. He said not all teams have that player, but the average player that does play in the league for a good amount will make about 1.5K per month.

Does anybody know the actual figure on how much Bora will make with the Honduran NT? I know many coaches came out and said that it was a slap in the face to pay Bora all that money.

Bora is getting paid 75,000 dollars per month. The thing is that his salary is getting paid by the sponsor of the National Team "All Tel-Cel" I believe a telephone company or calling card something like that. He is also getting over 50% of the funds that they make for the rights of his pictures in magazines, newspaper, etc. if that wasnt enough he's also gettin a signing bonus wich he already got of about 175,000-200,000 dollars, but at least theyre not going to have to worry about a monthly wage the sponsor will tho.

    ronald....the 75k per month was a rumor

a reasonable amount is 10k from the federation and some 20 to 30k more from the sponsor (which could be up to 3 coorporations helping in) Rafael leonardo developed many screens for us to find the real numbers. That as a coach of the national team, then he get money for what they call "cursos de capacitacion" another perk outside his coaching contract.....who knows how they handle that in money terms.
