This is the golden boot poll, people. In other words - most goals. Not the golden ball (for best player).

Put down the crack pipe people. Tierry Henry has never and will never be a good player for his country. There's more chance that he won't score at all than he will win the GB. The fact that he is currently number 2 in the voting is proof that people are stupid.

Well without this turning into a huge "Is Thierry Henry a big game player..." debate - I have to disagree with this. Henry isn't a prolific goalscorer for France like he is for Arsenal but he has had some good tournies.... WC 98 & Euro 2000 I thought Henry was on. I'll admit it he hasn't done much for the French team since then but then again - who has?

But yeah - I get your point. He probably won't be challenging for the golden boot this year. I actually voted for RVN. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (spell?) may be another candidate - considering Sweden have Trinidad n' Tobago in their group.

The golden boot award is too difficult to predict. The last couple of winners have come from completely out of nowhere. Ronaldo had just come back from long term injury in 2002, Suker in 98, Stoikovic in 94, Schillachi in 90.... who would have ever guessed and of those guys?

    1) Really should have at least two players per team...
    2) Vieri? Seeing him on it invalidates the entire thing. Might as well have Pele on it.

  21. Wheres the "other" option?

Wheres the "other" option? I bet will be none of above.

Or maybe McBride or Donovan. No Mexican's either? This poll is complete and utter crap. At least make it a full list, or don't even bother with your ignorant, partisan poll.
