    São Paulo!

With Rogério Ceni and Adriano as world class players and others like Miranda, Hernanes and Dagoberto I´m pretty sure that tricolor is coming to win!

I am no expert in Chilean football let alone in Colo Colo, but I think despite losing key players, Borghi has conformed a solid squad winning 4 domestic titles and taking them to the final of the Sudamericana. Apparently they have made some interesting signings (Rojas, Barrios) and I am sure they will be very difficult to beat. As for going the distance, well that's always a difficult call, but I think they have a good chance. I am not sure Boca will be so strong and I doubt other teams will be as assembled as Colo Colo are.

    São Paulo main formation...

    -------------Rogério Ceni-------------
    --------------------------------------
    ---Miranda----Juninho----André Dias---
    --------------------------------------
    --Joílson---------------Jorge Wagner--
    --------------------------------------
    --------Hernanes---Richalryson--------
    --------------------------------------
    --------------(????????)--------------
    --------------------------------------
    -----Adriano-----------Dagoberto-----

    Juninho came from Botafogo,
Alex Silva can be on this formation in the place of André Dias,
    Joílson came from Botafogo too,
Jorge Wagner were on loan from Real Betis and now his is a trully São Paulo player with a 3-years contract,
Adriano is on loan from Internazionale de Milano for 6 months,

Our middlefielder is not decided yet but we´re trying to bring Danilo (actually playing in Japan) and Diego Souza (who played for Grêmio in the last season).
Can be used Leandro Guerreiro, Souza and Hugo in that position too.

Reasco can be used in the place of Joílson and Júnior can be placed instead of Jorge Wagner.

We have Aloísio, Diego Tardelli and Borges as options to the attack.

For me our best players are:

    Rogério Ceni,
    Adriano,
    Miranda,
    Jorge Wagner,
    Hernanes,
    Dagoberto.

    Reasco,
    Juninho,
    Joílson,
    Júnior,
    Alex Silva,
    Richarlyson,
    Diego Tardelli,
    Aloísio and
    Borges are very good too.

Far be it from me to be biased, but if you ask me, I cannot see anybody other than Boca Juniors winning this thing.

I would say Liga has good chances this year, these kind of teams, Liga, Colo Colo, Libertad, Nacional i see one of those kind of teams winning this year.

Who are Flu you ask?? One of the big four from Rio and from an area called Laranjeiras. Plus, they're probably the one club in Brazil that has brought in some quality players like Dodo, Washington, Leandro Amarel, Dario Conca, and Ygor for this tournament. That doesn't mean they're done reinforcing their team either. They're still looking at other players, plus they already have quality players like Thiago Silva in the back and Thiago Neves in the midfield.

from an outsider point of view: flu and fla are NOTHING AT THE international level! IMHO

when was last time they play a final in copa Nissan or Copa Libertadolares?

lets be honest here....history and tradition is only a excuse for uruguayos, but for brazileros.

The end of the 90's and early 00's was a dark period in Flamengo history. We are beginning to turn things around right now. Fla always participated in the Libertadores in the 80's and early 90's. Not to mention, it's hard even getting in to the Libertadores from the Brazilian league because they are so many contenders. That's what makes what SPFC is doing now special. No other team has consistently made the Libertadores like they have in the 00's

Flamengo won the Mercosul in 99, which was an international competition (before the Sul-Americana existed).

that was a year ago with CC and the final they lost to Pachuca. They choked vs Millos in this last one. Good team but I dont see them past the quarter finals.

I see Sao Paolo better then Boca from the 'big boys'. Boca had a relatively
easy road to the last CL win. Banega will prove to be a huge hole to fit.

    A bit 'farther shot':

    Atl Nacional
    Danubio
    Colo-Colo
    Cucuta
    Santos
    America (Mex)
    Chivas

well my heart goes for a colombian team but if i had to say any ither team was going to win i would'nt mind a brasilian team or colo-colo winning. thats if the colombians are eliminated already. because Boca needs to relax with winning everything.and if cucuta goes to buenos aires again in the semis..please no insane fog.:p;)

Nah, it'll never happen. Not with the players Flu has brought in. I don't know if there is another club in this competition that can match the forwards Flu has. Who is going to stop Washington?? Maybe another Brazilian club, but doubtful. They couldn't stop him in Japan, they couldn't stop him in Brazil, and they couldn't stop him in Turkey. He'll probably end up as the Libertadores top scorer with Flu making it too the semis.

Its either São Paulo or Boca, I dont see any other contender.

I can see São Paulo eliminating Boca again if we play them this year.

Dude I'd rather take the fog anyday than what happened to Chivas at La Bombonera 2005 Libertadores, Boca are the worst sore losers in the tournament I think. I felt like running through the tv and bombing on Martin Palermo and then beating down the other two fans that hit some Chivas players. But hopfully this Libertadores 08 if far better.
