The 2010 world cup is less than 1 year away and some teams look more probable than others to win

Any prediction that does not include Italy and Argentina as Favourites must be an IDIOT...

Argentina is one of the Favourites and must be included in the poll. In my opinion Spain will win the World Cup. Spain is a team with great depth having players like Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas and Sunnny in midfield.

LOL! I love this poll... Korea but no Argentina or Italy - the defending olympic + world champions.

btw.... which Korea do you mean? South or North Korea.

That makes no sense. Both teams are in crap form at the moment and have been since 2006. Argentina will go nowhere under Maradonna, same with Italy and their coach who said they will take the 2006 squad for experience to the WC 2010

    This is absolutely irrelevant.

I wouldn't say it is irrelevant, Italy have looked poor for a long time, and rely on their old guys to do the job. Look at Euro 2008, they were very poor. As for Argentina, thye will be lucky to even qualify..

    Even more irrelevant.

Italy did even worse in 2004, and it didn't stop us from winning.

On the other hand, I can't think of a single Euro winner in history that reached the final 2 years later bar Italy and Germany, teams that have history and prestige and that won the WC before the Euro existed.

    Same situation as Brazil 02.

I know it doesn't mean much but Brazil looked pretty unstoppable in the Confed Cup. They're my favorite.

No European Team has ever won outside of Europe. So, with Brazil looking pretty good now, I'd say they're favorites.

Woah wait, Korea? Korea is a choice? How about Italy, Russia, England, Argentina, Croatia, Serbia, Australia, Japan, Mexico, USA, Portugal?

If Iniesta, Xavi, and Senna stay healthy, Spain should take it.

Brazil need Kaka and Robinho or they will go nowhere, and Argentina needs to work on their formation and tactics.

Yes, Spain had never lost a match when Iniesta, Senna, and Xavi are on the pitch together so they should still be a prime favorite. If they were to crash out then I'm going for Brazil,Argentina,Germany....or Korea Rep.

Argentina, the 3rd favourites for the tournament missing from the poll? Bizarre.

Also Italy have a greater chance of winning than half the teams on the list. They might be one of the weaker European teams at the moment, but to give them no chance of winning is ridiculous.

Alof of people are mad at Argentina not being inlcuded in this poll, and as a general football fan, i too would expect them to be a heavy favourite to win it in every edition, alongside other world powers such as Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Etc. But we all must be reminded that to win the world cup one must qualify first and Argentina seems to be having the toughest time inn their region out of any of the top powers. Their next match is a must win and its none other than against Brazil, many speculate Maradona will be sacked if the 3 points dont come back with the argentines.

Even if Argentina doesn't qualify, they'll have as big a chance of winning the World Cup as Ghana and Korea.
