Make your prediction now, so when November comes, you can say "I told you so!"

Put ya money on H-town for the double and maybe the hat trick. We only lost Serioux, we're in better shape than any other team right now, we showed bigger balls against top Mexican competion that DC, we Mr Azz Kicker himself Dom Kinnear at the helm, and everyone loves the sound of Cha Ching.

Yo si le voy le voy al NARANJA!!!!!!!!

One for the thumb in the District.

Rock solid American defense, scary good South American attack.

Bow down and accept your fate, MLS.

    Year of the Bull baby!

NY over LA in the highest rated final to date thanks to the Los Angeles Beckhams.

This should be titled who will win the 2007 MLS Cup other than your own team.

I had to vote for DC. I don't think their defense is as good as the homers think but that offense will generate enough goals in the first 60 minutes that they'll be able to put 9,10,11 behind the ball to wait it out and still have the talent to counter effectively.

DC United. Emilio looks sick so far. Galaxy looks like a popular choice to meet them in the final, but I think the other Carson-based team will meet them, or perhaps Houston.

There's too much LA Galaxy love flying around.

Right now I say it's between DC United and Chicago Fire.

Anyone who didn't vote for LA may want to go back and have another look at the US-Ecuador game. We got that guy...(Donovan). We also will get Beckham to lay out those long through balls for Landon to run onto, and to kick home the numerous free kicks that will ensue as desperate defenders are frantically trying to stop the LD machine from slicing past.

The rest of the league's best hope is that Donovan and Becks will miss large parts of the season. But come playoff time, it's going to be fun!!!

I doubt Cobi and Quavas Kirk will be enough to push LA over the top...

That is, until Cobi gets the game winner in the Final, thus capping of an amazing career in the best way posible.

Back-to-back for Houston, as the Dynamo win 3-2 AET over DC United.

My prediction aside, that would make for a great story.

I would like to think that it'll be Houston (of course  ) but if I had to choose another team that might win it, it'd be DCU, though I personally think they'll suffer the same problem as last year (burn out) which means LAG (as much as I hate to admit it) might sneak in and steal it from both of them.

Of course, Beckham could just come and puke from the sheer heat here and that'd be that;)

It'll be a great year, that's for sure.

I think DC is the best team in the league, so I'd pick them for Supporter's Shield. That's what we're really all talking about here.
The MLS playoffs are a crapshoot, when the 4th or 5th best team in the league has a legitimate shot. So it really could be anybody.

Crappy teams usually don't sneak past everyone to win the Cup. That just hasn't proven to be the case. Teams with one of the best records in the reg season usually win the Cup.

What shocks me is this poll. Only 10% of people expect Houston to repeat. What the heck?!? They were one of the two best teams in the reg season last year and won when it counted in the playoffs. Their 3rd title in 6 years. This isn't quite a dynasty but half the titles over the last 6 years with the whole team returning, a great coach and they get 10% of the vote??!!??

I'd rank the league as follows:

    1. Houston (despite a lack of depth the team to beat)
    2. DC United (great all over the pitch, great legacy, but losses of Esko, Adu and Nowak hurt just enough to not get the throne ... again)
    3. LA LD, Beckham and the Cobi retiring factor plus the best coach on the continent bar none. But too many holes and too many distractions to win it all.
    4. Everyone else.

I'm not sure which is more amazing: that 29 people actually voted for Real Salt Lake, or that, given the level of parity in MLS (and the playoff system), there's actually some chance they might win it.

I'd honestly switch DCU and Houston for winning the best record in MLS. If anything kills DC this year, it will be their defense. Sure, they're going to score lots of goals, but they're going to give up lots of them too. The defense has the potential to be one of the worst in the East. If they can either get something working there or get a signing, then I think they'll take the Shield.
