Gotta go with Heaps. Rusty is playing with injury, and even though he plays well, I really don't think he could go the entire game. We can't afford to have to sacrifice a substitution like that, it's too important to save those for possible tactical changes. Heaps has been playing as well as Rusty recently, and at this team he's less of a liability in terms of substitutions (so long as he doesn't lose his head again...)
Agree that we can't risk a forced substittution if Rusty's legs crap out. Also, Heaps has been bringing more to the table offensively.
Heaps Rusty has been wearing out by the 75-80'. Heaps needs to be in the flow of the game, and is more likely to contribute to the crucial first goal. Rusty, more than Heaps, could be an incredibly valuable late sub to protect a lead.
Gotta go with Heaps. No offense to Rusty, Rusty is still nursing that injury. This is do or die, can't take the chance. Also, I think Heaps has been playing better in the playoffs. Rusty has made a couple of mistakes that almost have been costly, a backpass that Columbus almost got a goal off. If we get the lead than maybe bring him in late.
Heaps Heaps deserves it - he's had a better season and he's healthy. He is one of five players on the Revs that played over 2000 minutes. (Twellman,Ralston,Franchino,Cullen also) Truly the core of this years team. Anyone expecting Rusty is probably waiting to see Teddy C. suit up on the left wing.
