Rotting in the reserves? He hasn't played in the reserves in over 3 months. He's just not getting many MLS minutes because his club team has the best CB pairing in the league and his coach is one of those types of coaches who doesn't rotate his team. He'll very likely leave in the winter. It seems about time you guys would admit your mistake, but there's been a lot of doubling down about this, and its starting to look really bad for Mexico fans.

Alvarez doesn't seem to specialize in defending either. Yes or no, wasn't he the guy who beat for a goal in our 1-0 win against you guys scored by Palmer-Brown?

I can accept that Mexico produces some good players, but I think you guys get too caught up in who your media hypes, and don't do enough analysis on these players. I read the Mexican forums, and you guys don't even talk about these guys in any analytic way, its like a chat room. That guy who only spoke in Spanish was one of the few who came to the Mexican section for actual discussion, too bad he was run off of the website.

For example with how you guys let your media influence your opinions too often, what has Lainez actually done? He puts in poor performance after poor performance in LigaMX, how is that impressive? Isn't his job to provide assists and score goals? Even with Mexico's U-17's, he was not a top performer. Torres and de la Rosa are both better talents, you should talk more about them, and less about Lainez. And your media also seems fixated on talking about Alvarez. I think Montes is a lot better, a more talented footballer. Alvarez does not look like a high level player to me. He seems to struggle with his defending and passing. Montes might not be as athletic or as versatile, but is a better defender and passer.

Uhh you might want to rewatch the goal

Number 14 is marking epb while Alvarez is marking someone else. Bizarre that you keep repeating this, literally took me 10 seconds to find.

Imagine being so threatened that you have to create such a hilariously false narrative. "Poor performance after poor performance" lmao

I suppose you have to compensate somehow with Carleton not getting playing time in mls while looking pedestrian against a depleted Chivas U-20 team.

    Typical usawkwer3000 tactic

Shit on the best prospect while praising another player to make it seems like your impartial. Pulled the same thing with Lozano and Pizarro.

He showed it at the U17 level, then again at the U20 WC level playing a few years up.

Holding his club situation against him when he's intentionally bypassing MLS until he can sign in Germany at 18 makes no sense. Don't you all think MLS is a pub league? So wouldn't you actually recommend the path Sargent is taking?

    Is it?

For a player that has all the big clubs after him and supposedly the best U-20 CB in the world (according to you) it's simply mind blowing how he still hasn't signed a pre-agreement with a team.

I'm still curious as to why it's a built in excuse in comparison to cats like Pulisic, McKennie this coming season, that they'll be playing in the Bund at 18 and the El Tri cohort are stuck in Liga MX at 19, 20 and 21.

So, why don't they bolt at 18 like the yanks? Why waste valuable years in Mex when you could be overseas? If Lainez is as good as some here think, it'll be foolish of him to be locked into a Liga MX contract until he's 20, 21, 22. Puts him behind the curve. Elite prospects have 100-150+ games under their belts in top leagues when Lozano's age and he doesn't have one yet at 22. Is Lainez gonna follow that path? What's the point? Sacrifice a year at 17, get yo ass to a top league and do your thing if you're some kind of an elite prospect.

Chris Gloster shut Torres down. He kept trying to beat him, but couldn't.

Liga MX can actually develop el tri youth players unlike the MLS. Mexican players dont need to make the move to euope at 18 unlike the US players. Most US youth players go to europe for peanuts and end up failing while el tri players make the move at an older age for a lot more money and get minutes from the get go.

Meh, wasting time. Shortens careers at the higher levels. Lozano wasted time in Liga MX and now is behind the curve.

BTW, US youth players don't get sold for peanuts. They go on a free which is the point.

This tells you all you need to know about ussoccer and his fanboyish obsession with certain players.

Palmer Brown was so highly regarded on the world stage that both Porto and Juve were too shook to even try to spend money on him.
