He's a better ball handler/dribbler than Pulisic with greater play making abilities.

Style of play, Pulisic and Lozano are a lot more comparable. Lainez on the other hand should be compared to Messi style players.

No, he's not a better playmaker than Pulisic, who already has a bushel of assists this year for Dortmund and a ton of chances created. Plus, he's every bit the ball handler than Lainez is, if not better.

Who are "Messi style players"? There's just Messi.

Keep dreaming. Lainez is at another level when it comes dribbling and 1v1.

Absolutely not. Pulisic has terrorized Champion's Legue teams on the wing already. Lainez is all potential, so far. You all are exactly the same as those dudes pushing Carleton as the next great star.

Speaking of all dribble and no end product players...

Watching him in the U-17's and honestly was expecting more from him considering all the hype. Lainez is way more ahead in his game compared to him.

Carleton is flashy and will do some nice flicks once in a while but I fail to see the hype with him.

    Zelalem 2.0

Maybe so but Lainez has more dribble and better at 1v1. You can see it when he plays. You don't get the same watching Pulisic play....not on Lainez's level anyways.

He plays nothing like zelalem, and he is literally 100x smarter and more technical than Lainez who might just be quicker.

You're really bad at evaluating talent so I'll take your "analysis" with a pinch of salt.

He's like Zelalem because you get impressed by the tiniest amount of technical ability. If Carleton was as good as you say is, he'd be back at Atlanta getting PT.

There's really no comparison right now, Lainez is playing for a better club in a way better league.

Yes, Pulisic absolutely does and, again, he's doing it to far, far better defenders with better results than Lainez. It's not even close, right now, and, frankly, an insult to Pulisic's real accomplishments and proven talent that you compare a 16 year old upstart with nothing to his his name, yet.

Sorry that Tata isn't some candy as Liga mx manager who gifts free mins to players who don't score or assist and lose consistently because fans want a wonder kid so bad.

No comparison because Lainez is in a better league with a better club? Weird, it's almost like....ah, nevermind.

Lol you're not familiar with the way America works. They buy expensive foreigners and hardly give Mexican youth's a chance. And when they do it's because they are very good (see: Reyes, Alvarez, Lainez, Raul etc.). Breaking into that team is way more impressive than breaking into any mls side.

I don't get hung up on his no goals/assists because, if you actually watch the games, he's put goals on a platter for his teammates, especially Romero who is god-awful. Unfortunately for him Romero can't finish for his life.
Hey, that's not my battle, but if you want to call out posters for ridiculous comparisons then I'm afraid your side is far more guilty.

You can't blame Lainez for having a sexier style of play.

The kid looks fearless and held his own against seasoned veterans in a strong league like Liga MX. Little by little the kid will be a starter in one of the most prestigious clubs in the Western Hemisphere in Club America soon enough.

Wasn't Pulisic benched against Monaco in the Champions League? He's good but a bit overrated
