Lainez doesn't know how to get open, is super small, over-dribbles and lacks finishing product. So no stop it.
He's 16. That's like saying a newborn baby has a high ceiling than Messi. The next two years will be crucial for him, because from 16 to 18 a ton of players don't make the cut. He has more upside than Pulisic, but more downside as well. And now that the Lainez hype train has officially left the station he's going to have to deal with that. And I don't think Pulisic is highly overrated by us, I think he's the best US player to come along in a long while, maybe ever. He's 18 and scoring CL goals. He's getting Bundesliga starts. We're excited, so sue us. But outside of a few lames no one is claiming he's the world's next greatest player. Just that he's the US's next greatest player, which is perfectly reasonable.
Europe rates Pulisic as high or higher than Americans. They're the ones putting him all over their elite teen lists. They're the ones connecting him to the Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Madrid types. Pulisic hype in the American sports media landscape doesn't register compared to Europe as over there football is life and here the media still focuses on the NBA/NFL/MLB.
There's some truth to that. But they also know that he's the second best young player on the team, not even mentioning Europe. Dembele is better in almost every way than Pulisic right now. Being a good young player in Europe is sometimes translated to "THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER!" in American English.
Sorry, I thought this was "Who's the Best Young Player in CONCACAF" not "Who has the highest ceiling". Even if we assume Pulisic has peaked (he hasn't) and Lainez may end up being one of the world's best players...that's all speculation. Right now Pulisic is the better player. In two years that might change. But I could also find some 9 year old who jukes other 9 year olds and claim he's going to be the best ever.
Another spazzo, look anyone with no glasses on can see why I say Lainez is better than Pulisic, not only do I measure skill, but I measure potential, and I am good at that, I see more in Lainez than I do in Pulisic, its just not there with him bro lol
got dam you guys are delusional, fuhhh lol denial to its fullest on this thread, cant we all agree that Lainez is better than Pulisic? come on its so obvious on talent lol
Ok, I'm gonna let this thread do it's thing, but seriously. Are we comparing the starting winger on a Champions League and top 4 Bundesliga team to a kid who's getting a few minutes here and there on a Liga MX team? Because I think we are. And it's ridiculous. I'm not denying that Lainez has a ton of upside. But you're literally on crack if you think he's in the same league as Pulisic right now. El Tri fans are constantly accusing USMNT people of being idiots (often rightfully so) but in this case you're being an absolute idiot. Lainez is getting garbage time minutes in Liga MX. Maybe someday he'll hit the big time, but not yet. Pulisic is an integral part of one of the best teams on earth. There's no comparison and you're making a fool of yourself.
Bro I ám looking at it with 20/20 vision, this is not a debate right now, anyone with a clear mind would see that Lainez has more talent and a higher ceiling than Pulisic lol
You never have anything of substance to say, just partisan generalities. You can't even explain why Lainez is better, or has more talent, probably because it isn't true, but you can't even BS some reason.
These guys just dont get it, he didnt feature for the U20s because hes playing with his clubs first team, yes the best young player in concacaf is too good for the u20s right now lol
Please list below all goals Lainez has scored, assisted or directly affected as a result of his play. Hell, even opportunities created. And, go....
