uhm, as much as I like Nagai, I prefer Tatstuya alongside Washington. Tatsuya got great speed and acceleration, as well as a "nose for goal". He's more a natural goalscorer than Nagai. If Tatsuya hadn't been injured that much, he would probably have been a regular for the NT a long time ago.

Nagai got great technique, but tend to overdo it at times. still, he's a joy to watch and one of my favorite strikers in J.League :) he's quite good in the air as well. Who will forget his 3 Maradona goals some years ago? it takes skill to do that.

you know what, throw out Washington and play with Nagai and Tatsuya instead:cool:

On current form i'd say Nagai is better at the moment, but overall i think Tatsuya is a better goalscorer, brings more to the game, is more consistant and generally better than Nagai. Having said that i do think Nagai is underated.

Oguro needs to come back to japan, he's totally dropped of the radar now.

I have a thing for hardworking and consistent players, so I'd pick Tatsuya over Nagai. But that takes nothing from the fact that they, like so many other Japanese strikers, need about 98 chances to score.

It might just happen next season though, if the front office somehow decide not to replace Washington. Unlikely, but who knows?
