Genaki nada no, shiokaze ni.............. Sorry was singing the old Daiei Hawks song. I like the Hawks and Carp (family is from Hiroshima). Anyone in our family who is caught cheering for Kyojin is killed!
FIGHT CHUNICHI..........DRAGONS , Blue and white! I went to the Nihon Series in 2004 when Chunichi lost to Seibu in 7. Maybe the 70th anniversary will bring good things. I also like the Lions of Seibu but not in 2004. Very close so far. 3 teams within a game of eachother.
I liked baseball as a kid but now it sucks balls, it can't begin to compare to football so i don't really care about the Giants or anyone anymore
where can i get some baseball matches from japan?? i always wanted to see some japanese baseball but since i don't understand a word of japanese can't find anything cya
Voted yes, but also wished to vote for "Baseball sucks". It does suck. I admit to enjoying about 20 minutes of baseball a year and enjoy the High School tournaments, but generally baseball sucks. I'd much rather watch volleyball or sumo, or marathon running. Nevertheless, I liked Hawks or Tigers, or even the "Ham Fighters" of Nippon.
Right there with you, brother. Damn Giants ... trying to keep Tom Selleck and Dennis Haysbert from what's rightfully theirs.
ahahahha the suckers lost again against weak yokohama. geez, with all the money they are wasting, how many poor kids in the world can be saved? i just hope people stop going tokyo dome just to dump their hard working money. definetely the existence of these mofo is hurting the japanese economy and employment
LOL, I can't watch a full game from beginning to end but I do have a lot of respect for what the pitcher has to do because throwing a ball with spin and making it do that little dance right before it hits the catcher's mitt is pretty damn impressive IMHO.
I think catcher is also difficult and dangerous position even though he hardly need to run. And yeah I also don't want to watch a full game of baseball from beginning to end.
Yeah, the catcher must have terrible knee pain by the end of the season. I also read that some catchers lose their toenails after playing for a while because they take a lot of hits down there.
And just behind the batter swings a bat , catcher must catch the very fast and dancing ball. It is also very impressive task.
I have a special place in my heart for the Tokyo Giants. Back in the 80s, when Hara was the #4 hitter, I use to visit my parents in Japan during the summer and after dinner, my dad watched baseball. Back then, I was a tad boycrazy and those baseball players sure looked good. After a couple of weeks, I had memorized the Giants lineup and my dear dad thought that his daughter was just as crazy about baseball as he was when it was actually not the game but the dudes in those baseball tights that made me watch.
I've been to Giants' games. Only because they were playing against Hanshin Tigers. I love wearing Tigers shirt to Tokyo Dome, singing "Rokko Oroshi" and being stared at by Giants fans. GO TIGERS!
