That one was actually posted on Heath's wikipedia page a couple months ago, but I never mentioned it on here because I didn't want to start a panic or spread nasty rumors.
Violet, we already have a England vs USA matchup in the World Cup during next summer. Don't even think about having an English EJ vs an American EJ (debate) matchup here in Austin.
One change is that Nick Noble has signed a contract to play in Sweden, so it looks like our backup may not be with us in the 2010 season. Unfortunately, the article that talks about this is in Swedish (which I don't read, however, here is a translation from Google.), but there is a BigSoccer post on this.
http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=content&id=5624 Apparently Americans have good work ethic. Who knew?
Well, least someone of note may be taking the pitch in the RAW next season. MERRY CHRISTMASS!!! UP THE RAW!!! TIN TINS SIGNED WITH US!!!!
Apparently the latest Go is the PDL squad... http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/389586.html Nowhere are listed the Austin Aztex U23s... That's a real shame.
Well, there's one more that I was hoping to see back here that probably won't be. Good luck, Austin! Here's hoping the Hoops pick you up. If not, good luck wherever you end up!
And, in the overview, a quote. OK. Maybe I'm making too much out of a player that only played 6 games for the U23's in '08, but he made an impression on me in those few games.
Austin had a pretty great run with the Deacons. I watched him grow each season and I believe he will go on to have a very productive career.

Sheesh. Coulda been any other squad . But best of luck to him and lets hope he does us, the club, and his namesake city proud.
Hey, at least it wasn't Chicago. And it gives me one more reason (assuming he makes the squad) to go watch a game in that beautiful stadium.
So hey amidst all this "draft drama" and such has anyone heard ANYTHING in regards to who the RAW might be trying ta pick up? And I mean ANYTHING, rumors, wild speculations, dropped hints, trickle down gossip from the FO, word of mouth from Phil, Kay, Inchy, ANYTHING!!!!!
I've not heard anything other than the trips that Adrian and Phil have taken to Senegal, Colombia and Haiti (pre-earthquake). They signed Jamie Watson, but that's about all I've heard. 100% of their attention was on the league, now it's scheduling, logistics, players, etc. I would imagine we'll start hearing some news soon, albeit it at a trickle. If you recall from last year, player announcements came staggered over several weeks, so as to not blow the entire wad in one go.
The Aztex Blog: Hopes For Haiti On a lighter note, we have received the first draft of the 2010 schedule so we hope to be publishing it next week - let's hope some of the more notorious 'leakers' from other teams can keep it to themselves until it is written in stone. I know you are dying to know and we are dying to tell you but it's just not quite ready yet! We will also be releasing details of a new signing - I LOVE this time of the year!!
All I can say, from reading that blog, is that my prayers are deffinatly with Jean and his family, especially now that I know about his father being in Haiti. And also, of course, I wonder who this new signing is of whom she speaks.
