Woolard would be my safe bet instead of Washington. But the amount of games and playing time between those two certainly doesn't show much in MLS experience. http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/403996.html But EJ did play for FC Dallas & Kansas City. What?
From tomorrow's Soccer Watch column in the Chronicle: "The Austin Aztex will announce a key signing today: defender Leonard Griffin, 27, who's been on three MLS teams, most recently the L.A. Galaxy, before losing the whole 2009 season to injury. Griffin's resume also includes a couple of youth national teams, and an NCAA title at UCLA."
You've been banned from the next 3 Serie A matches due to making a handcuffs gesture? You were fired by a Russian Billionaire due to terminal ego? You're from a small town in Portugal known for its poets? What precisely is a Jose mood, anyway?
Glad ya missed me soo much StevO . But I'm gonna try an make it to one or two matchs once the season gets into the full swing of things. But anyway, keeping the thread on track, we now know the identity of the defender, but what about the striker that we're all suppose to recognize??
I would guess that the Aztex are still working getting the i's dotted and t's crossed with regard to the contract.
Hm. Abe Thompson? We do have a relationship with RSL, so that's one argument supporting this notion. And he saw a lot of time in Dallas, so I've seen enough of him to know that I'd be OK with him on the Aztex. But considering the timing of release/signing on the defender, I think it's far more likely that it's someone that's already been released. And I'm not that well informed enough to be able to dredge up a likely candidate.
Is it Ricardo? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricardo_Pierre-Louis Just a guess, but I have heard the latest mystery player might be from Haiti. It looks like Cleveland completely folded shop. I don't see a 2010 schedule for them and they are not listed on the USL site either D1 or 2. http://clevelandcitystars.com/ricardo-pierre-louis He has both MLS and USL-1 experience.
Well that would be cool if we could keep our Hatian connection. And speeking of Haiti, and our favorite player from said nation Jean , der wonder goal is on a highlight real thats being played on the usllive web site, along with a nice threaded goal that EJ notched against Rochester.
Well looks like our direct Haitian connection is secure, for the next two years at least. http://www.uslsoccer.com/home/406594.html I'm intrigued, to say the least, and what a clever move picking up another former Thunder player for "The Cat" ta serve it up to. Well done FO
