The champions league is an evil money-making tool in the hands of the world's second vilest football organisation designed to make rich elite clubs even richer and more elite. The domestic league is a glorious nine months which determines who's the best out of an x number of clubs, fair and square. That's what I think.

That's because the champions league is a crapshoot, any of the top teams in england, spain, and italy can win it at any given time. One bad game, one bad ref, injured players, suspended players, or bad luck in a single game and you're eliminated. In a league tournament those things don't matter much since you have 38 games to bounce back.
.. or, once you're out of the group stages, you have to basically be unbeaten over two legs against the best/most-in-form teams in Europe to win it all. So going unbeaten against all the other top European sides consistently is a HUGE achievement. And if you win it all, you're the Champions of Europe, where all the money and prestige of club football seems to be. e/ considering the league title over European Cup is a joke .. consider how many times you hear something along the lines of 'at least we won the only one that matters'.
